Question 1

Does halo make a suitable vegan puppy food?

Accepted Answer

Yes , in a can
No, dry puppy food by Halo

Question 2

What is the size of the dry vegetarian food?

Accepted Answer

This HALO packaging is a small bag, measured as approximately 8-1/2 inches (length) x 4 inches (width) x 12 inches (height).
The weight is 4 lbs. (1.81 kg).
We mix this HALO's Premium Holistic Ocean Vegan Recipe kibbles with HALO's Holistic Garden of Vegan(R) Recipe kibbles. Both kibbles are the same size (small) which are ideal to chew for extra small, small, and medium -sized dogs. Sometimes we grind the kibbles and keep all the dry powder inside a container, then add and mix in warm water when ready to serve some in a dish for a softer wet food texture. This method is good for dogs who prefer wet food or prefer not to chew on hard kibbles, including senior dogs. Hopefully this helps, and have a blessed day!

Question 3

Has anyone had trouble with diarrhea or black buildup in the ears from the food?

Accepted Answer

Hi Justin, We are sorry to hear that your dog has been experiencing diarrhea and dark build-up in the ears. There are many causes of digestive upset and if this is a new food for your dog, it is possible that the transition from the previous diet was too rapid or that there is an ingredient that does not agree with your dog's digestive system. If you have been feeding this recipe for some time, there is likely another explanation for the diarrhea. Dark build-up in the ears may be a sign of an ear infection, especially if you are noticing a strong odor or your dog is scratching at the ears. We recommend contacting your veterinarian to make sure your dog does not need to be treated for either symptom that you are noticing. If you have any questions or concerns, our Halo Happiness Advisors look forward to assisting you. We’re available at 1-800-426-4256 or support@halpets.com. -Halo
