Are these food safe? i.e can they be used in a pizza oven??

If youre not sure of the source of the wood i wouldnt recommend it. It could be from chemically treated wood etc which you dont want to use in a pizza oven or around food.

Can you use these on a pit fire??

I use them in a chimenea. I only use 1 at a time and it takes about 2 hours to burn out. Have had no spitting either. I should imagine they would be ok in a fire pit but we don't have one.

How do I light the logs

fire lighters are good .. also u can buy these logs from Tesco for around £4 .. Amazon not always the cheapest it would seem

Hi .can these be used for bbq?

The blurb says "Suitable for open fires, wood burners, multi-fuel stoves, closed appliances, chimeneas". I've not used for a bbq as my purchase was specifically for a multi-fuel stove.
