Yummy Fries!
Works great! It does take a little muscle to push the potatoes through. For longer fries, press the potato slightly into the blades first so it stands upright, then push it through. I make homemade frozen fries with it too. After cutting, soak them in cold water for a few minutes to remove the starch, dry well, then freeze on a cookie sheet and then transfer into freezer bags. Cook straight from frozen with a little oil and seasoning. I add salt once they start crisping so they don’t get soggy. (Salt brings moisture to the top of the potato.) They come out perfect! Great for making a big batch to keep in the freezer. FYI- every french fry is not perfect because potato shapes aren’t perfect. The thinner pieces I throw away so everything cooks evenly.

Great, Affordable Fry Cutter
This is a great fry cutter for the price, well thought out and effective. The dual plastic walls keep the blades & plastic pushing surface lined up nicely. Size-wise, you will have to trim the ends from longer potatoes to make it fit, and the fries come out perfect every time. There will be some thinner cuts, which I like to use for hash browns, or sometimes add to another dish. Cleaning is fairly easy, though the cutting grid will require some extra detailing. I use a smaller 1/2 diameter brush to get the potato bits out of the corners. Be sure not to touch the cutting side, though - it is sharp! I haven't tried any of the other attachments yet, just french fry cuts so far.

Not Bad 🥔🍟
Wish it was a little bit sharper. It doesn’t cut through potatoes like butter, requires a lot of force. Good size, most of my giant jumbo bakers fit through the slicer. I tried cutting some potatoes into fries, then cutting those in half (a few at a time) laying them horizontally across the chopper, they cut perfectly into diced potatoes! Also cut some baby carrots the same way for quickly diced carrots. (Meal prepping for campfire dinners tomorrow.) *If you want to cut sweet potatoes you’ll have to microwave or bake them for a bit first! They’re so hard they’d probably break the blades if not partially cooked first.

Sharp, Efficient, and Makes Fry Prep Easy
We love this cutter! It’s very sharp, so you do have to be careful when using it, but that’s also what makes it so effective. I can quickly cut a ton of fries in no time, and the pieces come out nice and even. The different blade options are great for variety, and it works well not just for potatoes but for other veggies too. It’s sturdy, easy to use, and a huge time-saver in the kitchen. Definitely worth it if you like making homemade fries!

Like this kitchen gadget
I got this to prep potatoes for a Xmas dinner scallop potato recipe. I have a Cuisinart but its big to lug out and clean up and I don't have a thin slicing blade. This slicer gave me thin potato slices that were perfect for this recipe. The grater worked well on a small block of cheese too. It was easy to use and clean up was quick. I like the drawer unit and the adjustable slicing widths. Its also easy to store and put together unlike a lot of clunky big appliances. I've tried the julienne blade too but it didn't work well for me. It could have been user error as I'm new with this. The blades are sharp and exposed, be very careful and don't get sloppy. I made sure my hand placement was never near that blade. I use band saws and woodworking equipment so I'm used to always staying clear and being alert, the same applies with this slicer. (Do not let kids near it!) For the money its a good purchase. I would recommend it for small jobs though. For large sized items (unless you can cut into smaller pieces) or a large quantity to process; get a machine. I will also add that the company selling this is customer friendly and cares about user satisfaction. Mine came with a defect in the plastic. While it didn't prevent usage, the bottom of the drawer had a mottled plastic look making it hard to clean. I contacted the company (this was right before Xmas on a weekend too) and they immediately got back to me and sent me a brand new one, even though I just needed a drawer. So if you have issues, don't hesitate to let them know.

This makes my life so-o-o-o- much easier when I need to cut up foods!
I am kind of a clutz with sharp knives so I tend not to make fresh French fries or slice apples for a snack. I looked at several choppers but this is the only one which had 3 blades that I would frequently use, so I thought I would give it a try. What a blessing this has been to me. I can quickly dice an apple or cucumbers or squash for my smoothies. This fits well in a flat bottomed bowl or on a plate to catch the food rather than on my counter. I cut up a couple of potatoes into a 2 quart Pyrex bowl, cover-n-let the potatoes sit for 15 min.s with salt water to pull out the starch, drain and recover with cold water, then cover-n-put the bowl in the frig for when I want a few fries as part of my meal [using an air fryer for cooking]. I tried another apple slicer but all it would do was mash the top of the apple & not slice the apple. With this dicer/slicer I am even able to use it on carrots ( 2' long pieces and cut in half so I do not need to cut the carrot pieces after going through the cutter) which are very hard to cut even with a sharp knife. I would recommend this for anyone who's tired of cutting things strictly by hand.

Does the job but not as great as I hoped
I was pretty disappointed with the Prep Naturals Veggie Chopper. While it does speed up the chopping process and makes tasks more efficient, the experience isn't as enjoyable as I’d hoped. First off, you have to really slam your hand down on it to get the blades to cut through the veggies, which can be tiring and, honestly, kind of frustrating. The force needed makes it quite loud too, so it’s not the most pleasant tool to use in a quiet kitchen. Additionally, cleaning it is a hassle. The parts don’t come apart easily, and even after a thorough wash, bits of food seem to get stuck in hard-to-reach places, making the cleaning process feel more like a chore than a convenience. While it certainly does the job faster than chopping by hand, I’m not sure it justifies the noise, effort, and cleaning difficulties. If you’re looking for a quick, easy solution to chopping, this might be worth considering, but for me, it doesn’t completely live up to its promises.

Love it!!! Easy to use, uniform slicing
This is a great mandoline slicer, really sharp blades that are easy to change, an aggressive food holder and a sturdy non-slip container make it so easy to use. Easy to clean too, I rinsed the blades immediately after use and used the edge of a sponge to wash them, I also dried them right away. I like that all the parts fit into the container for storage, although you might want to pay attention to how they are placed before you unpack them. This arrived, washed it and had 6 small potatoes perfectly sliced in less time then it takes to wash and cut the eyes out of the potatoes. I used baby carrots with the spiral slicer and it worked, but larger carrots would have worked much better. I also sliced a couple carrots using the regular blade and they stained the white plastic a little, no big deal to me, but it happened. I'm sure if you ran the piece thru the dishwasher it would come right out, but I hate using the dishwasher for plastics as it makes them brittle over time. Here are a couple tips for use with any mandoline slicer... Cut the vegetable in half so you have a flat surface to work with. Empty the container frequently so the food doesn't fill to the level of the blade. The container on this slicer is large enough to hold 6 small to medium potatoes, but I did have to tip it up a couple of times so there was room under the blade for more slices.

Incomplet

Good quality gadget.
This is a good little gadget for the kitchen but I have already sliced off the top of my finger. Probably should follow instructions to wear the glove but I feel like Michael Jackson with it on and to busy moon walking around my kitchen if I wear it. Just be careful otherwise great quality and a handy little thing if your a Nigella in the kitchen. I'm. More of a gordan ramsay.
