nice budget option for lattes and smoothies
This is culinary grade matcha, not ceremonial, so it doesn't have intense sweetness and grassiness. The flavor is very pleasant though. It's smooth and earthy and does a good job mixing with non-dairy milk or milk products like yogurt in smoothies. The color and aroma are appetizing. I liked this as a budget option where the flavor of the matcha is mixed with other things so it brings the nutritional benefits without the intense flavor that comes with ceremonial grade. You can also use a lot of it per serving without feeling like it's too strong or bitter. This isn't really a good option though for regular matcha tea (just mixed with water) as the flavor isn't strong or sweet enough for plain matcha. I used this for my morning almond milk latte (about 1/2 tablespoon per 12 oz.) and was very pleased with it.

It was fake
Tastes strange. It was combined with other ingredients.

Versatile!
I've gone a little matcha madness over here since getting this item. I have recipes for matcha cookies, and a few dupes of Starbucks iced matcha latte to try out, since the weather has decided to be...swampy.It blends well. Of course it blends in a tea if you use a proper matcha whisk, but this blended into the cookie batter for the recipes I tried just with a stand mixer and I used a regular whisk for the matcha latte. The flavor is great whether served hot, cold, or baked into baked goods! The taste is strong but not overwhelming. Really terrific matcha flavor. PS if you've never made your own matcha latte, be warned this may ruin commercial versions for you, because the taste is so much better!

Good, everyday matcha powder
This is a good, everyday matcha powder. It makes tasty matcha lattes. I simply blend 2 tsp. of this in 160°C hot water with a bamboo chasen, then sweeten it with monk fruit extract and top it off with milk. It is tasty and refreshing. It is great for baking as well. This comes packaged in foil bag with a product label affixed to the front. The quality seems good. Mine has a best before date of 04/2024, about 8 months from now. Product of Japan. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with this matcha powder. Good for lattes and baked goods. Decently priced. Good product.

A cost-effective choice if you like mild, subtle matcha flavor and don't mind the color
I enjoy experimenting with various types of culinary matcha for baking. I was eager to try this one due to its Japanese origin and surprisingly affordable price, but I ended up somewhat disappointed.First, the color is rather dull, and after going through the baking process, it only turns into a warm green, yellowish shade.Second, when it comes to flavor and taste, It's very subtle, so after mixing it with butter, sugar, and other ingredients, the matcha flavor is barely noticeable. However, if you prefer a very mild matcha flavor, this could be a suitable choice. Overall, it offers a very mild and subtle matcha flavor, without much bitterness. So, if the resulting color is not concerning, and you like the mild matcha flavor, this is a very cost-effective option, perfect for incorporating into various batters, and won't feel too precious about it. Hope you will find this review helpful.

YUM!
This matcha is delicious and very fragrant! I use a scant tsp with about 8 oz of hot water, then add a little stevia and oat milk, for a pick me up. This bag is HUGE, and will last a very long time. Matcha is expensive, so I really appreciate what a generously sized bag this is, for the cost. I also love to bake with this, and mixed with whipped cream, in the middle of a "jellyroll," style cake, it's divine! This dissolves nicely for me, using an electric milk frother, and I find the quality to be consistent throughout the bag.

Shirakiku Matcha: Matcha So Good, It's Criminal
I've tried a lot of matcha powders in my day, but nothing compares to Shirakiku Matcha. It's the smoothest, creamiest, most flavorful matcha I've ever had.The color is a vibrant green, and the taste is simply heavenly. It's slightly sweet and nutty, with a hint of umami.I love using Shirakiku Matcha to make traditional matcha tea, but it's also perfect for lattes, smoothies, and baked goods. I've even used it to make matcha ice cream, and it was delicious. If you're looking for an authentic Japanese matcha powder that's high quality and delicious, I highly recommend Shirakiku Matcha. It's the best matcha I've ever had, and I'm a matcha addict!

Grassy and bitter
This is culinary grade at Best. It is very grassy and bitter. My Matcha latte was not very good even after adding plenty of cream and sweetener. Also, the color is off . This is more of a yellowish grayish green. A high quality matcha is bright, vivid green. As stated this is culinary at best. If you were going to cook with this that’s probably fine. I would look for a higher quality Matcha for beverages.
