Noticed a leak in my Ram, replaced 3rd break light seal, caulked around shark fin & replaced rear cabin vents. Easy to install

I bought these to replace the factory ones on my 2017 ram that had started leaking (a lot). when I got these I compared them to the factory ones, and the gasket is much better on these. Also, if you look up how to replace these you will find a lot of guys pushing these at an angle through the hole in the cab from the inside out... That may have worked but it stresses out the gasket. Do it right, get under your truck and in the space between the bed and the cab you can easily push these up to the hole from the outside even if you have to tape them to a rod or ruler for reach. Then you can grab them from inside and pull them until you hear the fasteners click into a locked position. Be sure to flow a hose on the outside wall of the back of the cab after installing these and before you put everything inside back together to ensure they work. I'm happy with their performance and quality.

Better than stock

Removed factory part by turning 90 degrees and pulling into cab through mounting hole after unclipping. I was not able to get the new vent through same hole in cab wall because it is about 1/8" thicker in a couple places.Good news is there is enough room to slide it up between bed and cab from underneath truck at very edge of cab/bed. Barely enough room to work it up to the installment hole, but pretty easy.

Worked like is should and resolved my issue. You do have to remove the rear seats and fish the new vent up between the bed and the cab but not too bad. All I needed was an 18mm socket, racket and a breaker bar. Along with some string and a piece of duct tape to fish the new vent up. Took an hour to remove seats, install and reinstall the seats.
