RIZOM 18-Piece 3/8 Inch Drive Extra Long Allen Hex Bit Socket Set, SAE & Metric (1/8-3/8 in., 3-10 mm), CR-V and S2 Steel (Allen Hex Bit)

For the money, this is a great ball end long hex set. I used it this week to remove a badly designed and worn-out pressure washer pump. The hex tool length is good & build quality is solid. I had some really tightly torqued various sized 30-year-old hex bolts to remove and this kit worked great on all but one bolt. I really pulled hard on these bits with a 3/8 ratchet, and they worked fine. Rather than show more photos of the hex bits, I’ll show photos of the project. The pressure washer pump was shot and had to be removed and replaced. The pump had a bad design lacking external bolts for removal, so I had to split the pump case to remove the pump from the engine and there were 20 hex bolts in 3 sizes to be removed. It was a mess because the seals inside the pump were shot, and water mixed with hydraulic oil. I suctioned as much of the “chocolate milk” out of the case prior to removal but there was still about 6 ounces I could not reach with my suction tool. As soon as I cracked try pump case, the oil/water mix was everywhere. I got all the bolts out but one because the ball head kept slipping out. I changed to a short, non-ball head hex and that worked fine. My solution was to buy the non-ball hex kit from this same tool distributor for future use! If you’re not a full-time mechanic who needs expensive, high-end tools, this set will suffice. Sometimes a long straight hex bit and sometimes you need a long ball head bit so now I own both.

These work great! Definitely high quality for the price, nice storage box. Because they attach to a 3/8" ratchet, which is not included, you have to be very careful as to not over tighten the hex screw.

Good value for the set. These seam sturdy enough. A lillte disappointed cause I ordered this extra long set to use on my VW to remove two 5mm socket head bolts holding the intake manifold & the main shaft of these are bigger than the actual 5mm, so this wouldn't fit in the small opening, so had to use my old L Allen wrench. Hope I'll get some other use out of these.

My Park Tools set did not include a long 4mm hex socket that I required to torque the bolts for my saddle. I bought this affordable set, which should to useful for many applications. I am pleased with the quality of this sockets. It is a good buy. Functionality: The long reach is required for many applications.

Needed the longer reach to fix a machine ant my workplace and this kit was perfect. The tools are solid and built well. Also like the carrying case.
