This automatic feeder works really well. I haven't had any issues with it during the three months I've used it. Initially, I was a bit skeptical about the accompanying app, but it turned out to be very useful for adjusting the amount of food dispensed and the feeding schedule. It's also nice to receive low-food notifications and warnings about potential device malfunctions, so you can be sure your cat gets fed. Of course, this means that the company is mining your data and probably sells it to third parties, but that's the world we live in.

Then I started getting device offline notices. It would lose its connection to the app and WiFi off and on even though the connection light on the feeder was solid like it’s supposed to be. If it was offline during one of my cats feeding times it would not feed. After a couple weeks of this it went offline for good and I can not reset it. The connection light stays lit up solid and will not blink allowing me to reconnect. I tried unbinding the device from the app to reset everything but now I can’t get a blinking connection light to reconnect. So it’s not even connected on my app anymore. It’s useless now. I have to press the button on the feeder to dispense food. Edit. I fixed it and changed my stats from 2 to 5. If this happens to you I will report what I did. I unplugged it and took the batteries out. Rebooted my phone. Deleted or unsynched my feeder from the app. Then restarted the connection process. You might not need to delete your feeder from the app because if you do that you have to reschedule everything. I think it didn’t work before when unplugging because it went to backup power. Make sure you take the batteries out and wait a few minutes. Also restart your phone since that only takes minutes

This PETLIBRO feeder has seriously made my life so much easier. I can schedule meals right from my phone, and it’s super reliable—no more worrying if I’m running late or out of the house. My cat caught on really quickly and now runs over every time she hears it dispense food 😂 The setup was easy, the app works well, and it holds a good amount of food so I don’t have to refill it constantly. I also love the sleek design—it actually looks nice in my kitchen, not bulky or cheap. If you’ve got a picky cat or a busy schedule (or both), this feeder is totally worth it!

This feeder completely stopped working after 4 months of continued use and maintenance. I was enjoying the app and my cat was enjoying hearing my voice through the feeder until I received a notification one day that the feeder was disconnected and I went home to find the device would not power on, despite all my best efforts to locate another charger, another outlet, etc.! If I could leave a zero star review and ship the defective product back to the manufacturer I would. I tried to chat with support but they were completely unhelpful. They wanted me to send a video of the product not working. I tried to. But the electronics in this device must completely defective. I am very unhappy with this product, this brand, and with the service I have received. Please do not fall for the advertising. Please do not buy this brand.

UPDATE: I contacted their customer service directly through their website. They were great in helping me reset the feeder. Currently it seems to be functioning properly, although I have had one more instance of "feeder failure" message even though food was dispensed properly. This feeder started out as a win. It was easy to set up and I love the bluetooth and app based communication. It was a little difficult to figure out the right portion to dispense, but once I got that dialed in everything was great.... Then I started getting random "food dispensing failed" messages when I was away. I was always able to trigger a manual feeding from my phone so I felt "ok" about it, but concerned. Fast forward to today... I was home when the time came. I heard the feeder call my dog and heard the food dispense. When I looked at my phone I had a "food dispenser failed" message.. WTH?? This causes me great concern as my dog is on a VERY strictly regimented diet. I now have to wonder if, when I get that message, the food is actually dispensing or not. I hate to run the risk of her going hungry but hesitate to continue triggering manual feedings if the dispenser is actually working.

Review after two weeks: The feeder itself is good, but my cat wasn't finishing his meals after switching to it. After finally taking the time to actually measure, I found that the dispensed amount was actually much closer to 1/8th cup per serving than 1/12th. I imagine this will change based on the size of the kibble being used, but the fact that servings can be 50% larger than expected is really important to note. Given the lack of issues with feeders that don't use desiccant pouches, I imagine the ones here are just an upsell to a subscription model on a product that doesn't actually need one--but they aren't that expensive either, so buyer's discretion on that. -------------------------------------- Updated review after 6 months: In addition to the above, the feeder suffers from a trio of interrelated issues that drive me up the wall. #1: Rarely, if ever, does all of the food make its way from the hopper to the feeder, typically a few pieces end up resting at the bottom of the hopper/canister and never make their way to the dispensing mechanism. #2: The low food warning only activates if there is NO food left in the hopper/canister. Combined with #1, this means that the low food warning simply does not activate. #3: There is not (or was not at the time I last tried to make this work) a setting to receive low food notifications without also receiving the "please buy our upsell desiccant packages that we recommend buying more frequently than you probably need to" notifications. So even if low food warnings were working, they still wouldn't work through the app without me subjecting myself to a constant sales pitch. I'm changing my rating from 4 stars to 3 because I now consider this to be "a product that does its main job", not "a competitively valuable product". It won't screw you over, harm your pet, or anything like that, but you can probably still find something better.

So far, so good! We have 2 feeders, have been using them consistently for about 2 months, and so far really like them. I haven't used them to feed while I'm away for an extended period, but have appreciated them for when I'm sick or out of the house for a few hours because I know the kitties won't miss a meal or have their feeding schedule interrupted. To keep costs down, I set up a pet cam near the bowls and trained the cats to go to their own feeder (filled with their prescription foods), eliminating the need for camera-enabled or RFID feeders. The app has been reliable at telling me when food levels are low, and happily the feeders still dispense on schedule if the wifi goes out. I would definitely recommend locking the buttons on the control panel (press the lock button for 3 seconds until a locked icon appears) because licking can push buttons. I was slightly worried my one smarty-pants cat would work out how to break into the feeders, but they've stayed securely closed. All in all, I'm happy we got these, although I'd recommend waiting until they're on sale (especially if you're purchasing a couple) because they are a little pricey.

Funciona muy bien, la calidad del producto es buena, tiene buena construcción y es resistente, en cuanto al funcionamiento; me gustó demasiado que en este alimentador puedes medir la cantidad de comida que es una porción en tazas, onzas, ml, etc. Eso de muy útil para mantener el peso adecuado de mis gatos después de esterilizarlos. Programas un esquema de alimentación es también muy fácil Por cierto, es para uso en INTERIORES, no lo pongan a fuera como la INTELIGENTE PERSONA (GUIÑO GUIÑO) que lo calificó con 1 estrella, de verdad a veces los estadounidenses pueden ser muy brutos. En fin, buen producto

Justo hoy me llegó y la vrd si es muy bonito y aunque tardado es facil de programar, pero hay una cosa que no te dicen... Anuncian que tiene mucha tecnología que puede incluso monitorear la salud de tu gato pero olvidan aclarar que eso es pagando una suscripción que es casi el doble de cara que el propio comedero así que si te llamo la atención por todas las funciones que dice tener este comedero no es para ti, si en cambio si lo quieres para no preocuparte por qué tienes que salir y no podrás alimentarlo está perfecto o lo tedioso que es pesar la comida para evitar que suba de peso ahí si es una buena opción 😊👌
