What kind of zipper does it have metal or plastic? Which one broke metal or plastic?

They are metal zippers. None of my zippers have broke. But it is very easy to overfill this bag. If a zipper were to break it would be the inner gourmet zipper. It splits sometimes. You will have to unzip and rezip to realign the teeth. Honestly you can just fold the gourmet bag portion closed. Zipper not needed
