Great pen, good ink flow, smooth writing.

I've never had the chance to use a fountain pen, so experience may vary. I already LOVE this pen after ordering one out of curiosity. I always wanted to try a fountain pen, because I love using really fine point pens, so I bought one. The way it writes compared to anything else feels so nice against the paper, and the fine point but thick lines is something I could only ever have dreamed of. It handles faster strokes quite well, although you will need to be holding it at a particular angle, given its design. It has a nice heft to it for being made entirely out of metal, which makes it feel good in the hand. The actual kit it comes with is quite nice, too. You get 10 ink cartridges total (5 black and blue), and a conversion kit if you'd rather have an ink dipped pen instead. I personally wouldn't have a need for the small pouch, but it's a nice touch to make the whole thing feel a little more fancy. This is a REALLY nice pen. If you're someone who loves needle point pens, but want thick lines like a ballpoint, this is it. It's cheap in price, but it feels like you'll have spent 5x as much. Definitely gift material for anyone.

I wanted to begin wiring in cursive. It had been quite a few years. I did not want to invest a great deal of money for a more expensive pen. So I read the reviews and decided to try a JINHAO Fountain Pen, medium nib. And the result? I was extremely surprised with the quality and functionality of this pen. Although a medium nib writes a bit thicker than what I expected, I am completely satisfied with my purchase. I highly recommend you first purchase this pen before you spend a lot more money. I think you will be very happy with this purchase. It looks very expensive and has great weight. Highly recommended this pen and this vendor. You won’t be disappointed.

I really like this pen. It's heavy compared to my disposable pens. It's very sturdy. It has a very nice finish. Ink flows through it very smoothly and consistently. I have had no issues with spotting or leaking and the ink flows consistently until the pen runs dry. Once a new ink cartridge is inserted the ink flows again as if it never stopped. It takes some force to insert a new ink cartridge but once inserted they're very secure and easy to remove later when necessary. I will buy more Jinhao pens.
