This worked as expected. Good color payoff. It does fade after several washes but that's not unusual. It is after all semi-permanent. My hair felt soft after using this.

Extreme Teal, Extreme Blue, Extreme Green, and Scarlet Red, hoping to tint my thin light brown medium-length hair. Extreme Teal: Tried a strand test of 15 minutes with zero results, so I said screw it and did my whole hair, leaving it on for just over 30 minutes - it had no colour and made it slightly darker. My hair is similar to the 'red' in the product pages' image. The darker shade of brown rinsed out after a single wash. Extreme Blue: Tried a strand test of 15 minutes with zero results, so again, I said screw it and did my whole hair, leaving it on for just over 30 minutes - gave me a dark black-blue shade of hair, albeit, the colour was only really visible under direct light. It looked good, not as bright of a hue as I would have wanted, but generally pleased. It lasted three washes before returning my hair back to normal. Have not tried Green or Red yet, but I have just ordered their coloured conditioner which I am hoping will help push back the wash count. Three washes isn't great, especially considering considering I use a shower-cap to keep my hair dry until washing, and I use quality Redken shampoo & conditioner. I will say the conditioner has made my hair look and feel a bit thicker which is a nice touch, and it is real easy to apply.

Great product overall, I got the teal color ( I forget the exact name sorry ) and used it on unbleached hair ( natural light strawberry blonde ) and it turned out well! My phone camera isn't great at capturing color, so it's more vibrant especially in better lighting. There are a couple negatives i will point out, the first being you may need a couple coats before you get the color you want. It took me two to get my roots well. This stuff is very thick and you really have to work it into your hair. Also, I would recommend waiting at least 30 minutes before washing out, the first time I followed the directions and it seemed like the dye needed more time. Second time I did 30 minutes and I was happy, it didn't wash out hardly and I got the color I was wanting. Overall I do recommend this product if you want to dye your hair but you don't want to bleach it and potentially damage hair. My hair feels super soft and has a nice shine to it.

I had my hair dyed a teal color back in February. That lasted awhile but around May color started to fade and so I decided to try out Overtone. I've been using it a few months now. I take my time slathering it on and can basically get a full head using 1/3 of the jar. I go for the lightest areas first and make sure I get every lightened/colored area touched up. As this is semi-perm, I actually massage it all throught the hair, run a comb through, and remassage it all together to make sure everything is covered. I blow-dry it with a hair dryer a bit as well cause heat helps somewhat. Then I wrap it in a bun with a clip on my head and then leave it on 20-30 min additional time before I washing it out. I wash my hair every 3-4 days and I find I only touch up 2-3 weeks when it starts fading. I've read that some people can barely get it to stay and and I the only thing I can hink of is that they didn't cover enough or leave it on long enough. Also, I really love the smell. Dunno why.

This hair mask has a very strong color payoff while also being silky and smooth. I definitely recommend this for anyone who doesn’t want anything permanent.
