Large size in damp-proof container
I get through a lot of Growmore in a season so having a big tube is great. Because it is in a plastic container hopefully it shouldn’t get soggy (as the cardboard packs do in my slightly damp greenhouse).

goes into the soil, not the watering can
I bought this thinking it was to be dissolved in water, similar to the Miracle-gro stuff we've used before. It's not. You mix it into the soil or compost around your plant's roots and it dissolves slowly over time. This is probably a better feeding solution in the long run, but now you know what you're buying.

Purchase Price
I swear by Growmore as a general garden fertiliser containing nitrogen, phosphate and potassium for vegetables, fruit bushes, flower beds etc. and I have used it for years. This Vitax 10kg carton is EXACTLY the same as I have purchased previously from alternative suppliers and when I placed my order it was the cheapest available. It has subsequently gone up in price, so my advice to would-be purchasers is to start surfing- it will save a few quid.

Great fertiliser
Good fertiliser, it's easy to use/ spread into the soil. Good for use in pots and borders too. Comes in a easy to open tub so you can open and close. Use what you need and store the rest in the shed until needed again.

A little goes a long way
Good product..easy to spread on the borders and lightly dig in.. Dissolves into soil after a few doses of rain. Only little niggle is the struggle I had to open the tub…the lid was very hard to open. Would buy again as good value and easy to use.

Does what it says on the tin!
I added this fertiliser as a preseed food for planting a new lawn. After seeding around 2 months ago I now have a bright green durable lawn. This is easy to use, I just sprinkled in the soil and raked in, then threw some over after the first cut of grass. Pleased with the results.
