Thought I’d try this as my cocker’s coat seemed very thick despite taking her to groomers less than 3 weeks ago and brushing her myself with various grooming brushes. Arrived today and I set straight to it looking to return it if it was hopeless but far from hopeless the thing is fantastic!!! I cannot believe the amount of hair that has come off the dog when you think she’s been nicely groomed(just what did they actually do ??!) and then brushed by me especially at this time of year when her coat is a seed magnet! The piccy shows what came off her ! That’s 25gr of hair(it’s really soft and lovely). I’d have to totally recommend this for non short haired dogs like wickeewoo or Cocker Spaniels. Super pleased with this purchase. An instant invaluable tool for dog care. It’s easy to use and should be fine against the dog’s skin.

I have a ragdoll cat and I was only using a slicker brush and I got very little hair off her. I thought wow she must not shed that much. But I kept finding hair on my clothes when she lay on me. I bought this thinking there wouldn't be much hair but oh wow! So much hair came off. Her hair is smooth and soft now. No knots or mats. The brush looked cruel and sharp in the images. I was so worried but she was fine. It can pull if there's knots so just be gentle. For long haired cats I highly recommend this as well as a slicker brush. There are two sides to it, wider and finer. I used both sides on her but I started with the wider then when I felt there were no knots I switched to the finer. If you're struggling to brush your pet with them, first play with them loads. Exhaust them. Then when they just can't stay awake any longer, then start by stroking them until they drift off and then gently brush. Then give them treats after for being so good.

As an owner of a ragdoll cat, who needs constant brushing and maintenance of her fur, this product is a godsend! I do Wish I had found this sooner It’s affordable compared to other products. It’s easy to use with a nice grip handle, sheds all the unwanted fur and the cat loves it. No more cutting lumps of matted fur! Must have product for those mid-long haired fur babies.

I bought this for my long haired cats . My personal opinion , and the cats , is it’s a little harsh for them ( maybe they are just to whimpy) Goodfor dogs , works really well on getting out the fur .

I always treat reviews with an element of cynicism, but this bit of kit really is excellent. We have two, very hairy, Golden Retrievers who need regular grooming. In the past we've used the more traditional grooming brushes, but after the young one chewed up one of our brushes, we needed a new one. Saw this, read the reviews, took a chance and bought one. Tried it today and what a difference!. It really does work, with so much hair being removed, leaving really soft and shiny coats on the pair of them. 10/10 from me.

My cat is getting old and has arthritis in her launches and spine. Whilst grooming her with a brush, she turned on me. I realised she is tender and found this comb. What a breeze. No harsh brushing. With gentle strokes I got masses of her hair off, then turned over to 17 teeth side and did the rest of the groom. She sat and purred whilst I did it. I'm delighted with this product and would recommend to other cat owners. I don't have a dog so can't comment.

After reading reviews I thought I’d give this a go, waste of money. Maybe it’s just my pugs coat it’s not good on. She hated it, think it was quite painful for her. Gave it to a friend to give it a go & she wasn’t overly impressed either.

One of my cats has long hair and hates being brushed, so has often gotten matted and has needed to he taken to the vet for sedation and shaving, which isn't great for his health, my bank or nice for him if it's getting colder. Regular brushes just pulled at his fur and he would bite and scratch to get away and nothing helped. I bought this thinking I probably won't have any more luck with it, but am actually so pleased. It cuts through the knots and pulls out all the excess fur with ease and minimal pulling. Even though he still doesn't enjoy being brushed with it, I can get more strokes in before he tries to leave and it's actually working rather than just brushing the fur on top and doing nothing to the knots underneath. If you have a pet who gets knots then definitely get this!

My cats don't really like to be brushed so I've never been able to get their thick undercoat out before with other brushes. this brush gets so much downy undercoat it looks like fur from a differnt cat. It works so well I have to put them on a towel to contain the fur. They don't resist brushing with this like they have other ones and seems to feel comfortable for them.
