Rio Deo - Refillable Aluminum Free Deodorant (Cheirosa 68)

Was in search for a deodorant for my teen and me and was looking for something that doesn't have any major bad ingredients (without harmone disruptors , unwanted fragrance). This 'Rio Deo' version has a nice scent, smells fresh and goes smooth, does leave a white cast on clothes though if you end up using a little extra. The fragrance ingredient used is 'Linalool' a fragrance allergen which is considered low risk in EU standards. US has slightly different standards so doesn't count as per my research.

I’ve heard negative reviews about aluminum free deodorant where persons experience bad odor after a while. Let me tell you this product does not fail, it smells amazing and keeps me fresh all day. And I live in a Jamaica where the days can get pretty hot and sweaty. The design makes it very easy to use and the screw top makes carrying it around quite easy.

It lingers throughout the day but isn’t overpowering. Does It Actually Work? YES! 🙌 I’ve tried so many aluminum-free deodorants that just don’t last, but this one actually keeps me fresh all day! I’ve been using the purple Sol de Janeiro deodorant (Cheirosa 68) and the scent is absolutely amazing. It has this sweet floral and tropical vibe that makes you feel fresh and clean right away. The fragrance is strong when you first put it on, and I love that it matches the body spray. The formula is smooth and glides on easily without any irritation, and I really like that it’s aluminum-free. My only complaint is that it does not last all day for me. I usually have to reapply at least once, especially if it’s a hot or busy day. Overall, I still really like it for everyday use, especially when I want to smell good and feel a little extra. If you don’t mind reapplying, it’s definitely worth trying.

I am a blue collar girl working outside in the sun; you best believe I am TESTING deodorant. I wanted to try this product because I am already a happy Bum Bum Cream customer and absolutely love the Cheirosa 62 scent. It's a warm, indulgent gourmand that has serious staying power on my skin. In this respect, Rio Deo does not disappoint! It smells delicious and lasts for hours, even well into the night with an afternoon application. Definitely a five star fragrance! To my pleasant surprise, it also seems to make good on skincare benefit claims; I noticed improvement in the softness of the skin and more even skin tone after only a week of use. Unfortunately, the benefits come at a cost. The product is very creamy and leaves an oily residue that WILL stain clothing. There are things you can do to mitigate it: rubbing it in will limit its impact on sleeves (and probably helps with the skincare benefits), but to avoid staining bras, you may need to blot and then wait for the product to dry completely before dressing - just know it may still stain anyway when you sweat. As these stains are oil-based, they're not easy to get out. That's a fair bit of extra work for a product we typically just swipe on after a shower. There are situations where this could still be the perfect product (i.e. depending on what you're wearing; I can see it working GREAT for beach/pool days), but for the price, I would expect more from it for regular daily use.

Love how it smells, love how it feels, love that it doesn't irritate my skin like some do or get that funky smell as the day wears. I never felt like I get that smelly so I can't attest too much to it's effectiveness, but so far I haven't had bad smells or sweat smell -so must be working? It's expensive but it seems to last a while as it's a good size bar and doesnt take much to put on. I also love the container it is in, it has a screw top and feels really secure to travel with. They also provide straight refills so you can keep using the container and save earth the extra junk.

I’m going to give this five stars. It’s not perfect because no aluminum free deodorant is. They just don’t work as well as the well as the “less green” options. But as far as aluminum free deodorant, this is the best I’ve ever used. It doesn’t leave a weird buildup. And it smells great. I went through a whole tube and I’m about to buy the refill.

I was really excited to try this because the Cheirosa ‘62 scent is so hyped, and I love the idea of having that fragrance in a deodorant. Unfortunately… it just didn’t live up to expectations. The biggest letdown is the scent. It’s very faint to the point where you can barely smell it, and it definitely doesn’t leave you smelling like the signature fragrance throughout the day. If you’re buying this specifically for that warm, sweet Cheirosa ‘62 vibe, it’s just not there. On top of that, I didn’t find it very effective as a deodorant. It didn’t hold up well throughout the day, especially compared to other options I’ve tried. I found myself needing to reapply or just switching to something stronger. What didn’t work for me: * Scent is extremely light and doesn’t last * Doesn’t really deliver that “signature fragrance” experience * Performance as a deodorant is pretty underwhelming I love the concept and the branding, but for me, it misses on both scent payoff and effectiveness. If you’re mainly buying it for fragrance or all-day odor protection, this might be disappointing.
