Great value great price great delivery
this drive is best used for security devices, the drive has a longer life cycle than the average drive and can also take a bit more vibration and rewrites.. when your talking western digital purple, your talking getting the info from the drive in the worst case scenario. most drives would fail to allow this.. so, you pay a bit more up front.. and remain happy..

Genuine Item, be warned many others are FAKE
This was a genuine item. Two I previously bought from elsewhere were FAKES, confirmed by Western Digital. If you're buying a WD hard disk make SURE you register it on the WD site BEFORE you open the packaging around the actual item, you can read the serial number through the pack, if it won't register it's a FAKE.

Fast reliable hard Drive
Bought to replace an existing drive of same model that had proved reliable for three years (until it died!) Used on home security system and is on 24x7, happy with it so far.

Not very happy with the customer service, surely if a problem occurs in the first 12 months, you should get a refund this has only lasted approx 3 moths from when fitted. I would not recommend this product as this is the 2nd one that has not lasted. Poor product in my experience.
