Great Vitamin for women
So far these have been easy to digest. I believe they are helping with my overall health goals and I have felt better since starting on them. Have taken them about a month now. The tablet is large-ish and doesn’t tasted great but if you swallow quickly with water it’s no concern. I’m not a fan of gummy vitamins so these were just what I was looking for. For size comparison photo is the multivitamin next to Kirkland 200mg IBUPROFEN

Contains Bioactive Vitamins the best form.
I have great difficulty taking vitamins. I have a body that is from another solar system and basically rejects 99% of what I attempt to take. My health is suffering from lack of nutrients and a few weeks ago I came across Nordic Naturals Multi Vitamin for Women. I did some research and found that Nordic Naturals contain what’s called bioactive vitamins. Natural bioactive vitamins are more easily absorbed by the body as they are natural body nutrients. Synthetic vitamins are cheaper but are less absorbed by the body which lessens their effectiveness which could be one of the many reasons I cannot tolerate them. Rather than attempt to blow out my body by taking one vitamin I dowsed the dosage and am taking ¼ of the vitamin (they are large), crushed in a mortal and pestle, and added to my green drink every other day. My plan is to start very slowly and over time increase the dose to 1/3, then 1/2, etc. every other day. Time will tell.

High Quality, Highly Absorbable, just wish it didn't have Ashwagandha.
I'm on my second bottle of using this so here's what I think. On one hand, it's a very high quality multivitamin. It has mostly balanced, highly bioavailable, active forms of vitamins and minerals which means better absorption, including a high quality gentle form of iron. I know not everyone likes iron in their multi, it makes it tricky to take because timing matters with iron: has potential interactions-doesn't pair well with coffee, magnesium, etc. Best with vitamin C, and possible stomach upset/constipation. But I really think women underestimate the importance of iron, especially menstruating women. If you're losing your hair and not sure why, get your iron checked! Low iron is often the cause of female hair loss. Personally, I struggle to get iron in my diet (always test low) and this not only has a quality form, but only contains 44% of the RDA, allowing you to get the rest from food sources. This way you don't have to worry about getting too much. But, on the other hand... HIGH amount of B12 and B6. B12 I'm not terribly concerned with, you'll pee all the excess out (your pee will look neon yellow, totally normal after taking B12), but B6 does have an upper limit and if you're getting it from other sources in your diet (watch out for energy drinks!!), it could end up being too much over time. I also don't like that it contains ashwagandha. I like ashwagandha, it has a lot of benefits-reduces stress and helps improve metabolism. But it's not something I want to take daily because it makes me extremely sleepy. It also lowers blood pressure, which for most people is probably a good thing, but my blood pressure is always on the low end of normal, so it's not something I'm looking to lower even more. The amount of ashwagandha is low, so I think it's mostly fine, but since it makes me SO sleepy, I HAVE to take this multi in the evening. So if you've been taking this and wondering why you're so tired all the time, it's the ashwagandha! Also, yes, it is a big pill. But honestly it's not much bigger than any other multi I've tried. Maybe people are getting used to all the gummies or whatever, but it's no bigger than the magnesium and omega 3 I take. The reason I've decided to keep taking it is because of its high quality and perfect amount of iron. Most multis with iron have 100% RDA which I think is too much as you will get some in food, especially if you eat anything fortified (usually processed breakfast foods have iron added). I just made a few adjustments to make it work: I take it in the evening instead of the morning, usually around 6pm with dinner. This way the ashwagandha helps me sleep and absorption is better because I'm taking it with food. I also don't have to worry about caffeine lowering absorption. Since it has ashwagandha, I plan on taking breaks every 3-6 months. The amount of ashwagandha is pretty low, so not sure if that's even necessary, but I do seem to have a stronger reaction to it than others. I would say overall this is a great multi for women. Just be aware of your B-vitamin intake with it, and if it makes you sleepy, take it at night. It is a little pricey, especially since it only has 30 days worth. If I HAD to give this up for a more budget friendly multi, Nature Made brand is always my go to. USP verified, affordable, and accessible (in every store). But Nordic Naturals is higher quality so that's really what you're paying for here.

Finally found a multi with iron that doesn’t make me nauseous
I am post weight loss surgery and currently on a GLP-1. I need a daily multivitamin to ensure I get all needed each day. But nearly every brand I’ve tried made me so sick from the iron. Even taking it at bedtime didn’t work - I’d wake up an hour later feeling gross. I tend to be iron deficient (low hemoglobin and ferritin) so a vitamin without iron isn’t what I need. I finally read about iron bisglycinate vs ferrous sulfate. All those I tried (Rainbow Light, Alive, Whole Foods, others) had the ferrous sulfate. I searched and found that Nordic Naturals now makes a multi and uses the bisglycinate form. My whole family already takes their fish oil or kids omega gummies, so I knew it was probably high quality. I’m glad I tried them - no nausea or constipation even on an empty stomach during the day. They don’t even taste or smell bad like other brands. I still have to take a daily calcium gummy with a meal because the one thing these don’t have enough of is that (which is odd, because I read that while calcium can block ferrous sulfate, the bisglycinate isn’t as affected). They also don’t have much choline or manganese but I eat eggs and nuts daily so I’m probably ok there. If you don’t have much of those in your diet, you may want to ensure you add them in.
