The clamp wouldn't budge using a plier type tool. This CV boot clamp tool is made of metal and can crimp a heavy duty clamp in no time. It is tiny but it works.

Rebuilt the cv axle on my ‘99 Accord. This tool made quick work of the boot clamps. Much better that the pliers they sell for this job.

So much better than the regular crimper.

Very useful for crimping oetiker clamps in tight spaces, or when you need them very tight like on CV boots. Holding up pretty well for the price, I'd recommend not using an impact on it as the threads are wearing just from hand use.

Works good, way better result then plier type. Still tool is a bit fiddley. Works well, but jams and spacer plates are rectangular, so they have to be aligned correctly to fully seat the clamp.Value priced for occasional use, but daily use would be frustrating

This thing works great and gives you a much greater chance of having access in tight spaces to install CV boot clamps.It's built well enough and unless you're a professional using it everyday it will outlive us all.
