Can cause harm to cats neck
This item can cause serious damage to a cats neck. I used it just the once and the cat now has a small lump on the back of its neck neccessinating a visit to the vet.

would use extremely rarely - spring seems too loaded
got these as i thought they may make nail-cutting a more chill experience for both me and the cat, but i don't think i'll be using them regularly. although it says that this is gently on the cat, the spring seems VERY loaded and i'm worried this is going to hurt the cat unnecessarily. these would be good to have if you have a cat who got stressed when being taken to the vet / transported, but i don't think i'll be using them.

I described these to my vet (having seen them on Amazon) and she held up a finger and disappeared in the back, returning with a large one which she gave me. She said a sales person had dropped them off months ago, and that I was welcome to whatever I needed, just to give her a review so she could report back to the salesperson. I have four new kittens, rescued from being abandoned by feral mother cats. They are now healthy and strong and do NOT like the concept of clipping their nails. For my senior cat, I have always rolled her up in a purrito with great success, but these little ones are too small and slippery and just scoot right out of the top of the towels like toothpaste from a tube. So I tried these. Awesome. The only problem I have is that if they are distracted by one or the other of their siblings, it sort of breaks the spell and they bolt. So I have to wait til they aren't having the kitty-zoomies and take them to a quiet place in the house to do the clipnosis voodo clip and clip their nails.

Its not easy to use. You need be strong to open and then doesnt fit well on the cat. I'am cat groomer and I want this for work with difficuts cats, but the cat turns more difficult while I'm put the clip

I wish I had known there were reviews of this product in other listings on Amazon because those reviews raise exactly the issues I have. I was very excited about this product because when I do any grooming of my cats I need one hand to control the cat, leaving only one hand free to work. I was aware of the binder clip "trick" but was reluctant to use something that might be too much pressure and damage the cat. I am an average woman with average grip strength. I find it impossible to open the clip more than a quarter inch with one hand. Using both hands I can work it open to maybe half an inch, not nearly as much as the people in Clipnosid videos are doing. Plus, using both hands to open the clip leaves me no hands to gather up the cat's loose skin. The spring pressure us so great I would be reluctant to apply it to my cats due to fear of it cutting right through the skin. I think a binder clip would be less pressure and I have seen videos of this working. I am very disappointed with this product. Assuming it won't hurt the cat there is no way for me to open it wide enough to use it. I will be returning it.

First, definitely get two if your furbaby is a very squiggly cat who does the gator death roll to evade you. These work and are not harmful. Not once did Ziggy make a sound of pain. It is truly like the mother taking him by the scruff. A vet used it on my elderly cat and I was amazed. Can't wait for the second clip so Lucy will be completely still. It breaks my heart when there is a struggle to clip the nails and I clip the quick. This solves that problem!!!!!

Great idea, but doesn't quite work as intended. Doesn't hold tight enough and slides off. I just went back to using a binder clip.
