Stink-finder Super Bright Combo Instantly 8 oz Urine Odor Remover

My husband wishes I had never bought this thing. We are a military family and pass through many houses, the horrors I have seen with this light is incredible. It works just as it says it should, its very bright and turned my carpet neon. I immediately pulled out the carpet cleaner and while holding this light in my teeth I cleaned in the dark like crazy person for hours until the glow faded along with the smell. I can't say anything for the odor remover as I had way too much surface area to cover to see if it really made a difference. My son (5yrs) loves to steal this light and play with it and even completely disassembled (not broke) it more than once and put it back together. So I'm going to give it points for being well built! My husband hides this from me whenever he can because he knows I can't resist a hunt and it really is disgustingly addicting (I have actually scrubbed my bathroom walls in the dark, you'd be amazed at what little boys can do). Fast forward two years and it still works perfectly. I have a 15 year old golden retriever who despite lots of meds leaks just a little bit on the daily (I don't know if she's trying to outlive me or make us go bankrupt, but we haven't given up on the old girl). Every time I walk into my house and she's leaked I can smell it right away. But you don't always know where, it's just a little and could already be dry. The stink finder comes out and after shielding our eyes from her glowing bottom (back to the bathtub...) we can find the exact spot and treat it. Rather than pull out the carpet cleaner and scrub the whole living room (which I have to do when my husband hides this thing from me, so it's really not in his best interest, but moving on. Buy it! And then round up every cleaning supply you can think of before you turn it on. You do NOT want to be stuck staring at your luminescent home at midnight with nothing to clean it with. Good luck.

I was a bit discussed in all my findings with this light. The Light works great. I gave it 4 stars only because the light did not come with batteries. The Odor remover is OK but it really just mask the odor, it is not a cleaner. Good its a good product over all.

From now on, I will have a light like this as long as I have pets. I could smell a faint odor of urine in our home even after scrubbing and cleaning everything I could think to clean. I hated to think what our visitors could smell. I saw the other good reviews on this light and decided to give it a try - I am so happy I did. There were so many little places on walls, furniture, and woodwork I hadn't thought to thoroughly clean where urine had splashed. I had to practice a little bit - shining it on our toilet was a helpful, if disheartening, suggestion I read online. Near total darkness makes it easier to see faint stains. Sweeping the light back and forth and looking where the light was not at its absolute brightest worked best for me. My one difficulty was a sore back because the box says to hold the light 5-6 inches from the surface you are checking but I would rather walk around bent over than crawl along the floor sniffing along every wall and still miss a lot of the mess. After a little more practice I may be able to spot problems with the light at waist level as another reviewer said they do.

This device works great at finding "invisible" pet accidents, (smelly or not), and also finds areas that were already cleaned, but not thoroughly enough. However, it does require that the area be completely darkened, and requires a lot of crawling around to check large and hard-to-reach areas. It can be back-breaking to use for older adults like me.

I purchased this to locate areas that my dog peed on in the house. I bought a pair of yellow UV glasses to use with this, but the light wasn't strong enough or the correct wavelength for that purpose. Bought another style of UV lite, an LED type on amazon, that works much better. What ever type you buy, you will get better results if you get the yellow UV glasses to use with the light.
