In any supplement the key thing I look for to start with is fillers, and this ticks the box with no fillers. Also has the added benefit of being Soil Association certified organic , so great to know that there are no prsticides or other nasty additives. It’s high on strength so only take the recommended amount . It’s easy to swallow and has no unpleasant taste which makes it an easy part of daily routine. I use Ashwagandha as a natural mood lifter , and to enhance focus it certainly does the job , although it does take maybe 2 weeks usage to kick in. As a truly organic product, I would highly recommend.

I’ve tried both the BIRCH & WILDE Ashwagandha 7200 mg KSM-66 and the SS Sport Supplies Ashwagandha with turmeric and black pepper. Both are high-quality supplements, organically certified and made in the UK, with vegan capsules that are easy to swallow. The BIRCH & WILDE stands out for its higher Ashwagandha dose (7200 mg per serving), ideal if you’re looking for a stronger effect. Meanwhile, the SS Sport Supplies combines Ashwagandha with turmeric and black pepper, enhancing bioavailability and adding anti-inflammatory benefits. The only downside in both is the packaging: they come in plastic that isn’t dark or hard, and a glass container would provide better protection and a more premium feel. Nevertheless, the formulation and certifications give me confidence in both products.

First off, yes they smell pretty bad. It smells like the back of my mum's unused spice cabinet - very earthy and peppery. So, if you don't like that smell, don't smell the capsules. They are quite large but easy to swallow and no taste unless you let it glide all over your tongue, but who does that? Effects wise, I chose ashwagandha for its anti inflammatory properties as an adaptogenic root. I'm unsure about this KSM-66 version as I have nothing to compare it to my, but I understand the nutrients are have higher bioavailablity with this version. I have had no negative effects, upset stomach or headaches from taking the full recommended dose daily. I take it with meals to avoid any negative digestive effects! My sleep and mood is better, my skin and hair feels better too, but I have also been taking other vitamins and positive lifestyle changes at the same time as starting a supplementation routine that includes this ashwagandha. Overall, I recommend this supplement as it's inexpensive and I believe it contains the active ingredients that are beneficial for the body and mind that are difficult to get through diet alone.
