Very effective, easy to clean, durable and cute!!!
This was a great buy; in fact, I bought another one for my neighbor's cat. I loved the colors and patterns. It works as advertised and my cat hasn't brought in any unexpected prey or has been able to catch any birds since. It's durable and I've put it in the washer several times and has not frayed or torn. I love the reflectors for when I am looking for my cat at dusk. I was skeptical of whether it would work and it sounded too good to be true but its super-effective. So happy I bought this. I wish I had gotten them sooner.

Works great!!!
This has worked great for my tabby. The birds are safe again and I can still let him go outside. The collar makes him look silly, but doesn't bother him at all!

Doesn’t work. Maybe because my cat is orange?
I have an orange cat and this doesn’t work. He’s caught more birds since wearing this than the 2 years he wasn’t wearing it before.

Safety and easy to keep track of my cat.
The brightly colored collar cover helps me to keep track of my cat when he is outside. I like that it has reflective edging too as it will help him to be seen just in case he does cross the street. He looks cute in the collar too and does not seem to mind wearing it.

Geez - my rescue kitty seems to have only improved his hunting skills wearing this collar!
I did go with this Geodelic pattern over the rainbows, blues and reds as I do have a "Ginger" cat and thought this design out of all of them would look the best on him. However, I was expecting much brighter, almost garish, colors based on computer image but instead these actually are softer and muted. It actually does look good on him AND unfortunately has no effect on keeping birds safe. As a matter of fact his hunting skills may have improved - not just with birds but gophers and mice too. He's been wearing one of those larger louder "Noble" bells for some time prior and I thought adding this collar too would make it even harder to catch birds. But the birdies may just be too fat and slow around here - lots of bird feeders to dine on in neighborhood! Plus, if they get under any bush or shrub they're trapped easily by any predator. I wasn't expecting him to be still so successful at getting birds so I'm not sure if I should try a different color scheme to see if they its the color scheme or not.

Saving God's finest creatures one collar at a time
I think these work! Of course the cats don't like the collar during wet weather, dew on the grass, or during the summer when temps rise. Always use a brake away collar. They really don't survive too well being run over with lawn mower - but do survive if left hanging from a tree limb along with the brake way collar. Between the collar & this bird deterent, you will spend $30+ but I really didn't intend to have 5 to 6 cats when we established a Purple Martin colony. p.s. I do NOT rely on these collars as the only predator deterrent. Fencing and water squirt bottles reinforce "stay away cat!" Get a quality brake away collar.

Seems to be working!
This seems to be working! I combined it with large loud bells and we have had two months with no harm to the birds.

And It Actually Works....
I was very dubious. But ever since we put this thing on our bird-killer cat Odin four months ago, he has gotten exactly one bird, and he had been good for at least one a week before that. (Moreover, there were indications that the bird he did bring home was the work of another cat or a death from natural causes.) These Birdsbesafe collars are expensive, but the birds are worth it. Be sure you get a good-quality cat-collar to go with it or your cat will come back without its Geodelic collar and that runs into money. MONTHS LATER: It's now almost a year since we got our first Birdsbesafe collar. Our cat has gotten only two birds, and that stopped when we switched to a brighter-color collar (Rainbow Sally). We have also discovered the Birdsbesafe website, which is a trove of information. We have found that elastic collars work better for us than breakaway collars. We lost about five Birdsbesafe Geolelic collars before we started using elastic non-breakaway collars. You simply stretch the cat-collar-and-Geodellic-collar combo out, put it over the kitty's head, and out he goes for a day of mousing rather than birding. When he comes back, it's easy to stretch out the collar again and take it off. And the collar we have is elastic enough that if the cat gets really hung up, he can pull out of the whole contraption (we tested). And Odie is so cute wearing it! Kind of a Caribbean/Elizabethan look.

Doesn't work with other prey.
It took a long time to be delivered although the seller was in touch constantly so that helped. It's a lovely collar but it doesn't work to stop my cat catching mice or rats - although so far while wearing it he hasn't caught any birds and i guess that is what it claims to do. So I would say it only-partly works.

Birds be safe Collar
I love the collar, and with the help of loud bells I’m hoping the birds are going to see and hear the cat before he sees the birds. The cat has no issues with wearing the collar, and he can also groom with it on. I’m definitely going to order another to have as backup.

Too expensive
Too expensive for a small bit of cloth

Great bird-hunting deterrent for cats
Very impressed by the quality of this product, ease of fitting around our little birder-cat's collar. Nice material, reflective accent, and pattern.

Did not work for us - maybe wrong colour?
I’m devastated to report that this product didn’t work for us. After 5 days of wearing the BBS collar, my cat brought me a bird. I feel terrible about it. After 2.5 weeks of wearing the collar, the bird count was up to 3. I have now pinned jingle bells all over the BBS collar, hoping this dual approach will do the trick. Would others suggest trying a different colour/ pattern? I had been hoping this product would solve my problems, but it was not to be. :(
