Great for teaching words
Loved this Flipboard that allows me & my 2 year old granddaughter to make words with the matching pictures! Great for vocabulary development, letter sounding, and word creations.

Sounding words out is a fun way to learn
I got this CVC phonics game because I knew I would have a great time doing it with my granddaughter. Before she started kindergarten this fall, we did some pages of a different workbook that had a variety of exercises. Her favorite pages in that workbook where the ones where we said the word and then sounded out letters such as saying "Bee" "Ba ba ba, eee, eee, eee, eee, eee, eee." She repeated the letter sounds in a funny voice to make me laugh and we had a great time. After only 10 or 15 minutes, she could recognize and say several words and remembered them when we looked again the next day. I remember how much I enjoyed sounding out words when I was little. Phonics was a new idea then, and I loved it, too. This method had stood the test of time.

Compact, easy cleanup
My favorite thing about this learning to read product is that there are no little pieces which I have to keep track of. It’s convenient and keeps all the cards in one place and allows my toddler to keep busy while learning to identify the different letters in different words. This is a good quality product and it will last me until my infant is ready to start learning to read as well! For now, I have my toddler work on this at the kitchen island while I make dinner. He’s easily able to figure it out by himself (he’s 4) and requires very little help on my part. I’m planning to take this while we travel so that way the kids are busy on the plane and have an activity to do which does not require too many pieces since everything is in one place.

Just as it looks
Thankfully this is exactly as advertised, you get what you see. It feels nice and sturdy, good for little hands. My 5-year-old autie is using it to learn simple reading and spelling, and he has liked it at least for our first use of it. I will note that it will not be "speech therapy" for just any kid, but you can tell if it will fit your needs simply by looking at the photos and reading the description. My son is in speech therapy for a language delay, and although it is not really "speech therapy" for his particular needs, it is a quality--even if limited in scope--learning tool.

Perfect for those kids who don't get to go to preschool!
Rural area families often do not get preschool for their children. These are the kinds of games and flashcards you need at home to help your little one keep up with those who are in preschool and learning the alphabet and how to sight-read words. Our grandson is really getting good at recognizing words, spelling words, and even writing them down! Practice every day. It's like a game, but he finds it so much fun.

There are no pieces to lose.
This is a great teaching aid for kindergartners. While school has just started and the class is not quite ready for 3 letter words, I am looking forward to using this Consonant Vowel Consonant learning game in my classroom. I have used puzzles in the past, and unfortunately it doesn't take long for pieces to go missing. The children will have fun using the flip chart mechanism and making their words. I believe I will be using this learning aid year after year. Parents of 4 and 5 year olds this will be a great addition to your child's learning tools as home as well.
