Hi, can I charge in my 110v outlet? and what is the output voltage?

Actually, the comment about needing a 20 Amp circuit is incorrect. It is the car, not the charger, that sets the current draw.  No matter what charger you use, the current from the 120V outlet would be the same. Typically, you can set this, from the car, to be either 8 or 12 Amps. So you'll be fine with a regular outlet.  Setting your car for 8 Amps will even leave reserve for other items plugged into the same circuit.  By the way, charging from a 120V outlet does take a very long time. My Chevy Spark EV with only 82 mi range takes like 20 hours to charge from 120V, but only 6 hours from a level 2 charger. This unit does both which is pretty cool.

I have a 2012 chev volt. I need to buy a new portable charging unit that will plug into my garage which is a normal household plug 110?

I would buy a 220 volt charger that would plug into a electric dryer socket.  this would charge your volt 2 to 3 times faster.  if you don't have this you can run a line to your garage from your electric box.

Seriously, no user manual included. no user manual i can find online. how could i stop charging? the charger seems locked on the car. thanks

Mine has a small manual.  Tbe charger senses when the battery is full and stops charging.  Then comes on again as needed.  No worries!
