Bonsai Kids Boys Hair Gel Wax - Strong Hold for Toddlers & Kids, Tame Flyaways, Ponytails, Buns & All-Day Styles

I really like this styling gel/wax. Just a little bit goes a long way. My tween has recently taken an interest in styling his hair and this is perfect for him. We've experimented a bit and found the method that works best is to emulsify a small amount in your hand with some water before applying. This gives better coverage with less product. It's got really good hold and just a little bit of shine to it. His hair doesn't look greasy or wet. I love that it smells fruity, as it's a nice change from the other styling products he has, which are men's products and smell quite strongly. Overall, very pleased! My son says he'd recommend it.

While smelling nice and having a strong hold, the price was too expensive. In addition, we only used the product 2 times before it "turned." The wax grew what appears as mold, within a couple months. I put off this review until now because my son did not care for the product and it sat to the wayside; I honestly forgot to review it

Item: "Kids & Toddlers Gel Wax - All Day Hold - Made easy for Mom's to apply - Ponytails - Buns - Flyways" ~ I got this for myself, to try to hold short hairs down so the top of my head doesn't have a bunch of them sticking up all over the place (I have long hair). It works decently - reduces the amount of random little hairs by somewhere between 1/2 and 2/3, I'd guess. I put it on half of my head and left the other alone so I'd be able to compare it. It's still pretty good 8+ hours later. I didn't use very much. I slid 3 fingers lightly across the surface so I had a very thin coating on them (it's a lot more solid than lotion, so you won't get much that way), and then rubbed it between them to spread it out further before rubbing it across the surface of my hair - and then repeated that 3-5 times. It does give what seems to me to be a noticeable stiff-hairs or hairs-clumped-together effect - which I don't really care for - but if I minimize how much I use it minimizes that enough that I think it's close to okay? I didn't even use a pea-sized amount, so it should last a long time. It smells really good. 'Blue strawberry' feels like an accurate name to me. It's kind of... rubbery, I guess, in its container? If I tap on the bottom it makes an echo-y sound, and I can feel the vibrations go all the way through it. It's kind of fun to play with like that, lol. :) It came sealed up in plastic for tamper safety.

This wax helps hold down those pesky baby hairs when I’m styling her hair. It smells great and doesn’t flake. I definitely recommend this.

The bright color and the “strawberry” scent reduces the yuck factor for this hair gel. Whenever I try to put on the regular adult stuff, my son runs away. But he sniffs this one and doesn’t seem to mind it, once his told it’s especially made for little kids. The hold is medium and doesn’t stay too sticky, which is good. The consistency is more gel/jello like than pomace or harder stuff.

This product is easy to use for parents, since it doesn't have a strong hold. It has a fun scent, similar to a fruity gummy bear or raspberry candy. It is a smaller container though, so it will go fast.

This gel-wax holds pretty strong, but it’s definitely tackier than regular hair gel. It’s on the pricey side for what you get, so keep that in mind. The scent is a plus—it smells really good, like fresh strawberries. Overall, it’s an okay product. It does the job, but there are probably better options out there for the price.
