I got this for my mom and I enjoyed watching her open it , the pearl is very beautiful and it just so happens to be her birth stone . Cute for kids! I have gotten pearls from oysters before and the quality was better, they were easy to open and the pearl was better quality. The pearl seems fake if that makes any sense
