Ma deuxieme paire de Salomon. J'aime bien ses chausures de rando. J'utilise meme en ville, surtout avec un temps pluvieux.

Excellent, but....
Excellent pair of boots. Love the light weight. But the fit is slightly narrower than my other Salomon boots, Quest 4 GTX. Both are ok for my foot, but for those with wider foot, they may want to consider the wider model. The lower cut meant more likelihood of sand particles and plant debris get into the boots when I run on trails when compared to the Quest 4. Generally I found Gortex provides very effective water proofing. On my numerous hikes in cooler weather and in high altitude in Nepal, Gortex works well. But on my longer hikes / runs here in hot humid Singapore, the inside of my boots often get thoroughly soaked in sweat. Drying the inside of the boots take 2-3 days. Overall, very happy with the X Ultra.
