I bought the 1500 gpm model and it is perfect. For the price it’s a really well built pump and the kit comes with everything I need to flush out my latest gen Rinnai tankless water heater. The kit includes all the hoses. Rinnai has a special setting for doing flushes, so make sure you look into that first to maximize a proper flush. I ran it for 60 minutes and the pump produces a really strong pressure to clean out the system. I used 8 litres of straight food grade vinegar with no water mixed in. Watch a few videos online first and using this pump is super easy after that. No more needing a plumber to come do mandatory annual service on my tank to maintain my warranty.

I used this tankless water heater flushing kit for the first time today, and overall I’m very impressed. It did take a little longer than expected for the pump to fully prime, but once it kicked in, it worked flawlessly. The pump itself is very light, which is nice for handling, but because of that I found it helpful to add a bit of weight to keep it fully submerged—otherwise it tends to float or lean to the side. That said, for the price, this kit does an excellent job. The pump moves plenty of flow once it’s going, the hoses fit well with no leaks, and the whole setup is extremely easy to use. The directions are simple to follow, and I will be using this regularly as part of routine maintenance. Highly recommended for anyone with a tankless system looking for an affordable and effective flushing kit.

This setup worked great to back flush my shower valve after it slowed to a trickle with calcium buildup. Just a couple tips. Grab a 1/2" to 3/4" adapter (search "Reducer Hex Bushing, 3/4" Male NPT to 1/2" Female NPT"). Also, you'll need a gallon or two to run through it.
