Schleich Dinosaurs, Large Realistic Dinosaur Toys for Boys and Girls, Acrocanthosaurus Toy Figure, Ages 4+

Schleich dinosaurs are just made well. Plain and simple. The design of them is always top notch, with a realistic design, that is made to last. The coloring is always great with such accuracy, and even though it may peel slightly after a lot of rough play, the next layer of color just shows through a little. It doesn’t usually peel off in big chunks or anything, just tiny areas because they are hand painted. True works of art. These are shipped as just the dinosaur with a tag, but they ship fine. This one is a solid toy. The pose looks accurate and realistic, which makes it great for playing with. The acrocanthosaurous seems the right size compared to other Schleich dinosaurs, and means it gets used more because it is the right size compared to other toys since my kids do care about that. I really like these toys, and my kids do too. My one minor detractor is that while I think the pose looks realistic, I’m not as big a fan of the pose of this dinosaur as I am of some of the others made by Schleich. But that’s just my opinion. With that being said, I still recommend this one, and am glad we bought it as it has been used quite frequently.

My 7 year old got this for me for Christmas. It's great: sturdy, the paint/ colors are good. Doesn't feel or look cheap. Best part is I get to play dinosaurs with my kiddo

The dino's arms shoot off when you shoot him. Then he falls down if you keep going. Great toy for a young boy.

Not a birthday or Christmas passes for our son without him getting a Schleich dinosaur. By now he has quite an impressive collection that he frequently plays with. This dino is great alone for the fact that it’s sizeable and for a change it is not a standard T-rex or Triceratops - of which we have a few each. I’ve never heard of the obscure Acrocanthosaurus but our son has knowledge about the species and is very pleased with it. The reptile comes in dark, drab colours other than the many bright variants Schleich produces as well. So this one is a bit more menacing and perhaps more realistic if you ask me. The figure has a decent amount of detail on its body but in particular comes with impressively sculpted head and a set of nasty lizard eyes. The pose is quite good, not biased into a specific action. So it can be played with or displayed in a versatile manner. As always, these Schleich figures are of very high quality and extremely durable. I’m still surprised how few parts have broken off our many figures after a decade of intensive play and rough storage by a sequence of children (the structures and vehicles are a bit more prone to damage). The paint might chip off or be scratched off but somehow this is barely the case with these larger dinosaurs of the past few years. So while Schleich animals, and dinosaurs in particular never come cheap, there is a strong quality argument.
