Kastking makes one of the best fishing lines on market.. Every catfishing tournament i fish is with kastking line. Outstanding durability. With little to no stretch making the bite easier to catch. The durability when fishing below dams and spillways is great with very few abrasions on the line causing less line change. Wort every dime you spend on it.

This braided line has been fantastic for my fishing trips. The strength is impressive—it handles bigger fish without breaking or fraying, and the thin diameter makes it easy to spool more onto my reel. Casting performance is smooth and quiet, with no noticeable friction coming off the guides. Knots hold tight, and I haven’t had any slipping issues even with heavier setups. The color retention is also solid so far, even after multiple uses in both fresh and saltwater. For the price, this is excellent value compared to some of the premium brands I’ve used in the past.

Really good braided line!!! I like the quality of this braid, it casts very nicely on both spinning and bait casting equipment. I've been using it in 6 Lbs test up to 40 Lbs test. I use the Camo color. We long line troll with jigs and small crankbaits for Crappie and White Bass with the 6 Lbs and 8 Lbs test on Kastking 500 and 1000 spinning reels, it works extremely well. This line also casts smoothly from spinning reels without nearly as much line twist or wind knots as with monofilament. My adolescent grandsons cast this line much more successfully than monofilament. We use the 40 Lbs on my large round Catfish reels for drifting Santee-Cooper rigs for Blue Catfish. This is a good braided at a good price point.

I have been using Destron X8 this whole fishing season and I am impressed. It's strong, smooth and holds it color better than other lines. That last part is important as I often the chartreuse color so I can watch my line. I have seen other lines fade quicker. This version of Destron casts well with it being a smooth line which is important for casting finesses lures a long distance. I don't see much difference between it and the more expensive lines I use. I really have no Cons for this line, especially considering how much cheaper it can be than other name brands when it's on sale. Dextron X8 is a bit thinner than other braids at a similar weight rating (J-Braid, Suffix 832) so bumping up a little on weight might be advisable in certain conditions. I often use 8lb for Ned rigs and dropshots, but may try 10lb next year in areas where fish run much larger, just to be safe. I have not used the X4 version yet, so no comments on it yet. I just bought a spool for trolling applications so we will see how it performs over the next year. The X8 has been durable and combined with the color holding up well, I can see that I will likely get multiple years out of it on each reel. That is a good value.

Seems like decent budget friendly line. Color does fade, but all braid does... however I'd order more than you need because by kastkings own line counting spooler, the 300 yard spool only held about 248 yards of line.

Works great with spinning less on baitcasters i would go different brand if your looking for a baitcaster line its super sturdy yet super loose and backlashes so easy because of it
