Honey Bee, 2 Seat Kids Bike Trailer & Stroller

I was looking for a trailer that could be pulled from a bike and convert into a push stroller, can fold relatively easily for transport in a vehicle, and had a quality build to safely transport my child. On these aspects, the Honey Bee is perfect. In stroller mode the "push" is smooth as butter. The handle is adjustable to various positions for your comfort. A feature I wish it had during stroller mode was a "peek-a-boo" window so you can see how your kid is doing. The brake feature is very easy to use- it's activated with the slide of the foot at the back. In bike mode, the pull is just as smooth. I have to take a look back every now and then to ensure it's still attached, because you don't notice any tugging from the trailer at all. Although it doesn't have suspension wheels, it handles various terrains very well. The conversion from bike to stroller and vice versa isn't too cumbersome. I've seen other bike trailer/strollers where the arm that attaches to the bike can be easily folded in reverse so the arm remains attached to the trailer- in this case you'll have to detach the arm completely and place it in the main stroller cabin to store it when transporting. Folding the trailer for transport is manageable. It folds flat enough that I can fit both my bike and trailer in a 60/40 split in the back of my hatchback. There is a bit of heft to the trailer- but I would attribute it to the build quality. The wheels detach by pressing a button at the center of the wheel which releases it from trailer. To reattach the wheel you'll also depress the button. I would have liked to have seen more cushion on the straps and seats- but my kid seemed pretty comfortable in the trailer. I may look into adding my own shoulder pads on the straps. The straps are adjustable enough to provide the needed safety restraints. The Honey Bee Encore X has the padded seats (and suspension) but you'll have to pay an additional $200-300 to attain those added features at its price point. The cargo area is great! I was able to fit a diaper bag, lunch box, our helmets, my bag, and much more in the cargo hold. It was tough looking for the Goldilocks trailer that fit all my needs for a decent price. $500 is more than what I would have liked to spend however considering the competition, it's probably the best of what you can get without spending more. At lower prices there just always seemed to be a compromise.

I really love this thing, but I am disappointed how quickly small things started to break.

Perfect for young couples who want to share cycling adventures with young children. My grandson loves it.

If I could give this 6 stars, I would! This is probably one of the best and most used purchases we made. Although the pictures attached only show when we’ve used it as a stroller, it’s been perfect for bike rides too! I really love that there are dual purposes for it and it is so so much smoother to push than our regular stroller. We use it almost daily (for walks or bike rides) and our daughter loves it! It’s super easy to connect and disconnect from our bikes, easy to buckle our daughter in, and the screen is easy to put down as well when needed. It has another layer as well for rain, etc. I also LOVE the storage compartment in the back (pictured)!! Hands down recommend this brand and model!
