If you're trying to drink a gallon of water a day, a large insulated jug like this makes it much easier than constantly refilling smaller bottles. This Hydraful jug is built extremely well. The stainless steel construction feels durable and the insulation actually works — my water stayed cold for most of the day with ice still left in the evening. The handle is comfortable enough to carry even when the jug is completely full, which is important because a full gallon gets heavy. The lid seals well and I haven't had any leaking issues when transporting it to the gym. I think this is the best version of a 1 galleon water bottle you can possibly have. No logo which I appreciate and zero leaks. Easy to carry by the handle grip or the hook and both the handle and hook can easily be stowed away. I mean it's a girthy boy so it gets noticed of course - people will comment on it but you can't really be more discrete than this. I appreciate it. I drink more than 1 galleon of water a day, i start off the morning chugging a liter before I fill this before going to work and this has been a game changer. The WIDE mouth of this thing is really the best part. I absolutely hate not being able to see inside water bottles to see if they are actually clean or if there is mold or something in them. You can fit your whole arm / hand in this with a sponge and scrub it out. --- No idea on ice retention I've never needed ice. I fill this thing to the brim with water from my fridge filter so it dispenses cool water. It's still cool in my opinion 12 hours later when I finish it. I do actively avoid having this in direct sunlight though - if I'm going to be outside I make sure this stays at least in the shade to help it remain cool. --- The only con: the handles/plastic bits like the lid are hollow so if you wash this in the dishwasher (which I think is safe, I've done it a few times without issue) the plastic bits will retain some water so if you aren't careful I imagine it could get nasty inside... I now only hand wash this because drying out the plastic bits is too much work (setting it infront of a fan to have air flow through it).

This is a giant jug but it great and durable. Have dropped it and still looks great, does not sweat when cold. Has a twist off cap and straw , very versatile. It does not leak in any way. Great for big water drinkers, hangs on our golf bags and can hang off the fence. It’s a great buy for your dollar.

I bought this for work outdoors in the Desert heat! I needed a 1 gallon container and the hook it has is a great feature so I can keep it off the ground! It will keep ice fairly long depending on temp outside, It's been used in 118 degrees and 50 degrees, no complaints, nice jug only con is its fairly heavy when full.

The Hydraful gallon jug is one of the best insulated bottles I’ve ever owned. It’s large enough to last me the entire day without refilling and it keeps my drinks cold for over 24 hours easily. I fill it with ice in the morning and still have ice the next day. The stainless steel body feels sturdy and the triple wall insulation really works. The lid seals tight and doesn’t leak even when tipped over. The handle makes it easy to carry for gym days or outdoor activities. The finish looks nice and resists scratches. For anyone who wants a reliable large jug for work, hiking, or sports, this one delivers great performance and value.

Great bottle till the lid dropped and the seal fell out. Put the seal back in and now it’s hard to open again close

I’ve bought this before only once last summer, it was great and kept my water pretty cool all day. I work outside so it definitely came in handy, and yeah it’s heavy but I don’t mind, I do have one issue with it though. The only issue is just don’t drop it on pavement, I went to get a drink and dropped it for my truck floor and it just kinda busted and started leaking. I’m going to buy a new one so I can have it ready for the upcoming summer. And keep in mind I could have bought another brand but genuinely I like the style and most importantly you throw some ice and water in it and you’ll be good till the sun goes down.

I absolutely love this water bottle. It solved all problems I had with previous metal jugs. For one, it retains temperature very well (I only use this for cold water) and for days. It has no leaks anywhere even when upside down (keep the straw folded down!!!). The handles are great and it’ll only be a matter of time to test the hinges’ and plastic longevity. The straw is kind of interesting for me; when the cap is screwed on, the straw kind of fights back with you since the bottle’s a really tight seal and the only output for pressure is you drinking through the straw, but with the cap screwed just a bit off, it becomes very easy to drink through the straw. Another thing I’d love to note is that the large opening is a blessing. pouring ice inside this bottle is so much easier than before than with other metal jugs that had a bottleneck at the top. This would be a 5-star if the price were better and if it came without the initial taste of plastic and chemicals (only happened for the first day, still unpleasant).

So i would rate this bottle a 7 out of 10. it does what it says but there are a few things that could be improved. First the cooling is excellent, i put some ice in the bottle and left it for 24 hours and only the smallest amount had melted. i dont use it for hot drinks so i can't comment on that. The large opening makes it easy to fill, unlike some smaller water bottles you dont have ice jamming at the top. the straw and chug opening work fine and you can ecen use the chug opening to fill the bottle if needed. The handle is nice and large and is feels stable when using it. but trying to drink using the straw you have to put the handle either to yur chest or hold it on the other side. Onto the stuff i think could be better. The construction of the bottle feels solid but when you look you can see small gaps between the pieces. for day to day use this wont matter but when you arre washing the bottle water does fill in these crevices, this is especisally true around the handled. i asked around and some pople have recomended using food safe silicon or resin with an injector kit to fill the gaps. The worst area for this is around the handle. The Chug lid has to be done as tight as possible or water leaks out, only a small amount but there is a leak. Lastly this bottle is not a full gallon. A full gallon is 3.78 litres, I filled the bottle to the very top and it took about 3.4 litres instead so just shy of 500 ml. Overall i would say this bottle is still a good purchase based on the insulation, the straw lid and the price point. it easier to use and significantly cheaper than other bigger brands like the yeti rambler.
