This cane is much more sturdy than I anticipated. It does have a good gripping bottom. I'm really not into the light on this, maybe because I don't need it all of the time right now, and it makes it a little heavier, but I can see how it would be helpful. I think they have improved it since previous reviews. I love the purple color (may not be useful but certainly is nice if one has to use a cane).The only surprise I had with this is that it has what I call a "spring action" when pressing down on it to walk. It makes noise when walking because of this. It may be helpful for others to realize you are near them when they hear it but I find it a little embarrassing. This is the only reason I bring this cane down a star.

I bought this cane for my mom on December 17, 2017, as a Christmas present! I was excited because my mother had the freedom to get the cane, turn on the led light and go anywhere she needed to go in the dark. Unfortunately, my mother of 78 years old, sometime after three (3) months noticed that the devise that holds the lightbulb and batteries was out of the socket from the cane. Essentially, it was not assembled correctly. It was lose. For someone who is elderly, these aides should be assembled tight enough so the parts would stay together.I see my mother once a year and I noticed that the light was not working. When I asked her if she knew where the parts, she did not know. She said that it most have been lose. I asked her if she or someone else had opened it to change the battery and she said no. It was defective.I googled to see if I could find replacement parts for the cane but no luck.Probably they are well assembled but not the one I gave my mother as a gift. Too bad!

I am wondering if I was sent the wrong cane? The description said it was a woman’s adjustable height cane. At just under 5’7” tall I am neither tall or short but this cane at the shortest setting is too tall for me. It is the perfect height for my 5’10” father. My cane is broken so I will have to use this one until I find a different one to order. My physical therapist adjusted my last cane So I know how long it is supposed to be for my height. Except for it being too tall I really like the cane so I gave three stars.

Sturdy cane but must have been designed for the JOLLY GREEN GIANT, a bit tall in shorter size setting, also the tip is noisy.

This is a great cane. I love that I can fold it up when I get into a booth or other confined space. It is great for traveling. However, if you are shorter than 5' 1 1/2" this cane will be too tall for you; it will not adjust down any shorter.
