30 sec install works perfectly if you have sync 3.0
Installed in 30 seconds, in my 2016 mustang gt performance package. I confirmed I had sync 3.0 then ordered it . Arrived the next day on a Sunday… installed , and bam . Apple car play works .

Works perfect
Bought this for my 2016 Ford Mustang GT to upgrade the carplay system and it worked! I also bought a wireless plug in to make the carplay wireless and I have nothing but good things to say. It was super simple and straightforward.

It works great it was the last thing i needed to get CarPlay in my 2016 mustang and it got the job done

Works, but too wide for 2018 Ford Fusion.
It works, but it is wider than the original for the 2018 Ford Fusion under radio cubby area. I am going to keep it and widen the opening myself. I know the title says Mustang. I thought I would try it since it had all the proper connections on the back.

Doesn't Work at all
Does NOT work on a 2016 Ford Mustang GT I tried everything but my car does not recognize it. NO Idea why they said it would work on my car, It doesn't

Worked great to add CArPlay to 2016 Mustang GT Premium.
Worked great to add Apple CarPlay to 2016 Mustang GT Premium. First I needed to install updates to the car's Ford Sync 3. I had V 1.0 Build 15139 installed... first I upgraded to Version 2.2 Build 17011 and THEN and ONLY THEN can you install SYNC3 Build 20204 listed on Ford's website as 3.0.20204 based on VIN #. You MUST use a 64GB USSB stick (I tried a 16 and 32 stick and they both failed). You can download the 2.2.17011 Sync version on CyanLabs.net...a gentleman named SandMan has the details on how to do it. You CANNOT go straight from V1.0 to V 3.0 or you WILL NOT get CarPlay to work! You MUST upgrade to 2.2 as an intermediate step.

We tried another usb module and received errors, so we decided to get the OEM one instead. We had zero issues installing it and took less than 5 minutes.
