XS-GTF6938 420W 6 x 9 Inch 3 Way Coaxial Car Speaker (Black)

I got these because the old set of 6 x 9 4-ways I had that dated back to when Sony was a more expensive brand went with the car they were in. Kicking myself for not switching them out. Couldn't find a replacement, so I had no choice. But these did not disappoint. They do sound more lively in the woofer, but the tweeters are not as good, not bad, just not up to imaging of the old ones with individual crossovers in them. But what these lack in that area they make up in power and sensitivity. They produce at least 2-3x the bass at low volumes than the pair I was trying to replace. Having listened to many speakers from many brands these sound great--yeah Sony adds coloration to the sound I don't consider that a bad thing. Music sounds like music and they pump bass you can feel outside the car with a not very powerful aftermarket HU. Can't wait to get these amped.

At this price, I cannot complain. Not a great bass, just natural and not as tinny same price last brand I tried. I made some good cabinets for them and they work good.
