Real Leather Fragrance Spray

No detectable leather smell left in car after use

After regretting buying a pair of boots online that had a very strong plastic scent to them that had lingered around for a good few months I ended up looking out for fragrance that would counteract it but didn't want to use something like Febreeze or people may have thought I was spraying them for another reason (my feet don't smell that bad!). I came across the Leather fragrance by Sensory Decisions which thankfully mentioned it could be used directly on leather items. There are a few tips for other uses too and I'm glad it does mention that it should be tested on an inconspicuous area first as I always worry that it might stain black items white. When I unscrewed the lid I wasn't too sure of the scent as it was quite strong and not very leathery but dabbed a little on the inside of my boot (making sure to wipe it off so it wasn't left to dry which could stain it) and, happy there was no staining, sprayed the boots at a distance. The first thing I was impressed with was the atomiser spray as it was powerful but gave a very fine spray which didn't dribble or drip down the bottle. This also meant that the liquid in the 50m bottle would last far longer so a few sprays wouldn't take much out of it. The scent is actually easily recognisable and does smell like genuine leather - a bit like smelling a new handbag, wallet or pair of shoes. It's not quite as strong as I was expecting but I was really glad as I didn't want the strong plastic smell of the boots to mix with a strong leather scent. This one was subtle but after a few uses the plastic wasn't as strong and they did start to smell like a proper leather pair of boots. The aluminium bottle is a very handy size and the website mentioned it could be used in the car too or even a library. I did try it on my leather suite (obviously testing it beforehand) which made it smell like new but again, wasn't so overpowering that it made the room unbearable to sit in. I've used a Yankee Candle car air freshener before which didn't smell of Leather very much and this was completely different. It's actually a lot nicer than some car fresheners in that it wasn't too strong so one spray would easily be enough. Great value for money. Highly recommended!

I just received this today and I must say I am shocked. There is almost no smell to this spray at all and the little smell there is is more like a denitists clinic. I do not know who develops a product like this thinking that it the smell of new (or old for that matter) leather. The only thing I can come up with is that it is a scam to make easy money. Hands off that spray!!!

I already have genuine pots of this from the factory, bought two of these from this seller and item is not as my bottles or their photos.on thier advert. Look counterfeit to me. And don't smell as vivid and as strong as the original ones I bought. Can't say 100% but not impressed.

Very nice leather smell.

Penso che valga la pena comprarli. Il profumo non e' come quello del cuoio fresco, ma ritengo che assomiglia molto alla della pelle già trattata con un tocco di tempo aggiunto. Insomma, dove lo spruzzi rimarrà con un suave profumo di roba naturale piuttosto che delle robacce sintetici.

Duftet wie echtes Leder

Ich war auf der Suche nach einem Duft, der dem wunderbaren Geruch, den man z.B. von einer neuen Lederjacke oder schönen Autositzen kennt. Dieses Produkt riecht aber trotz der Bezeichnung „Leder“ überhaupt nicht ein bisschen nach Leder. Der Geruch ist mir sehr wohl bekannt – das Produkt riecht nach Zahnarztpraxis. Der Geruch ist beißend chemisch und nicht im mindesten natürlich. Werde ich dir nach Desinfektionsmittel. Zudem sind bereits die Warnhinweise auf dem Produkt beängstigend (Haut- und Augenkontakt vermeiden, den Sprühnebel nicht einatmen, gefährlich für Wasserorganismen)auch besteht das Risiko von Farbveränderungen auf helleren Flächen sowie beschichteten Flächen – bei mir hat es bereits einen ziemlich hässlichen Fleck auf einem schwarzen Lederstück hinterlassen. Ich kann dieses Produkt niemandem weiter empfehlen – sensory decisions = wrong decision!
