These work great however they are for more foliage growth than shrubs or trees that flower. They still have everything you need for a flowering shrub or tree and are fine to use of course but more nitrogen means more foliage growth rather than flowering. Last year my azalea shrub got hit really badly in the extreme cold blast we had in mid to late February of 2023, and I actually thought it killed my azalea shrub the foliage was totally burnt by all the very extreme cold temperatures we had for 3 days straight. My azalea shrub completely dropped all its evergreen leaves in spring and began flushing out new foliage. I treated the shrub with one of these sticks knowing I wouldn’t get any blooms all season because the shrub needed the extra nitrogen boost to recover from the winter damage it suffered. It put on all new growth and foliage and it’s looking really healthy, and with spring 2024 right around the corner I’m hoping I will see some blooms this spring. I would definitely use this fertilizer again. I got great results with it. I will say getting these in the ground is a bit frustrating. I actually dug out a small hole in the drip line on either side of the shrub and broke the fertilizer stick in half and dropped them in each hole covered them and watered them in really well. Works like a charm. Just take a good shovel or a small garden tool and give the fertilizer stick a good wack right in the middle.

I have purchased these over 10 times. I use these regularly as a daily gardener, and overall they’ve been very effective. The Miracle-Gro Tree and Shrub Plant Food Spikes definitely deliver noticeable results my trees and shrubs look healthier, greener, and show stronger growth after using them. They’re convenient compared to liquid fertilizers since you can just place them and let them slowly feed the plant over time. That said, they’re not perfect. The biggest downside is the installation you have to hammer them into the ground, and depending on your soil, that can be frustrating. I’ve had multiple spikes crack or break while trying to get them in, especially in harder or rocky soil. It feels a bit wasteful when that happens. Also, the spikes can be a little irritating to the skin if you handle them a lot, so wearing gloves is a good idea. Overall, they work great and I’ll keep using them, but just be prepared for a bit of effort getting them into the ground and handle them carefully.Miracle-Gro works just great. It's a spike and no mess with plant food. Just put it in the soil, and you get a cap to put on top, and hammer the spike into the dirt down about 2 inches. You will see the difference the next day. It's so easy to use. Miracle-Gro has been around as far back as I can remember. And I'm sure it's not going anywhere because it's so good.

This sounds almost too good to be true. The city planted four elm trees of the same size in front of my house and my neighbor’s in October 2024. I plug two spikes under two of my trees, and 18 months later, both of them are about twice the trunk diameter and roughly 1.5 times taller than my neighbor’s. I also plug 2 under my new silver maple. The trunk also grew so fast that the bark cracked. I should have used one only.

I added the fertilizer steaks around my cherry blossom 🌸 tree in the middle of July. The tree was covered in pretty cherry blossoms two days later after a full day of nonstop rain. Two thumbs up 👍 👍

I use these every year. It gets so hot sometimes my trees look like they’re about to die. This always works to give them what they need

Says it's for evergreens but mine had some of the needle ends die off. Maybe I planted them too close to the trees but I followed the instructions on placement and amount to use. My non evergreen trees had no problem with them.

I like this Miracle-Gro tree and shrubs plant food. It works well, slow release and No mess no smell. It is easy to use. No harms.

Great little kit for feeding my trees and plants. Food gets down to the roots rather than sitting in the soil. Will re: review after I see the/ any results but at this stage everything is looking good.

J'aime beaucoup ces bâtons d'engrais que tu mets dans la terre. Il faut prévoir un marteau pour certains sols car ces bâtons sont gros. Ils engraissent bien les arbres, c'est un bon booster. Je crois particulièrement pour les conifères qu'il aide vraiment les arbres à grandir.
