but gave me the chewable soft bites which got hard as rocks as they were packaged very poor. I got some from Amazon to replace t
This supplement really works. My dog blood work came back and he had slightly elevated liver enzymes. The next blood test a couple months later they went up some more. Then a couple months later up some more they went which was getting me nervous with his age. My Vet wanted me to try this, but gave me the chewable soft bites which got hard as rocks as they were packaged very poor. I got some from Amazon to replace those due to them being much cheaper and just getting them they were hard as rocks, so went with these. Now to the good news.... Giving him these at the proper amount for his weight he went in for his 4th blood test and I was hoping that their was no elevation, stayed the same, or went down. To my surprise I was told that his liver enzymes were now perfect just like any other dog. That was a complete shocker and I continue to give him these to keep his liver enzymes down. He did need and the one he could not be put on due to his liver enzymes being elevated because it would elevate them more. He is now on that medication and with this product they are now just back to slightly elevated. I read the reviews on this and they were all great and some even said prescription medications that are supposed to lower liver enzymes in dogs did not work and this did. This stuff works and get the tablets and stay away from the soft bites due to they turn into rocks due to the way they are packaged and dry out. I found out a lot of Vet's do not know a lot about supplements and nutrition due to they never learned about it, but mine did and said try this product. It worked for my dog and I hope if your dog has elevated liver enzymes it works for yours too like I read on so many reviews that it does. This is not a gimmick supplement by what they say and I can attest to that it really does work.

Great Product!
Both of my Shih Tzu's have Cushings Disease and have been on Liver Support for over a year. I was getting their meds from our vet, but then I went online to Amazon and found the same meds for about have of what the vet charged. My dogs are both doing great with the liver support. Thanks for a great product.

Good Quality Product
I've been giving this to my dog for over a year now. Originally I was getting it by prescription from my vet, then happily learned I could order for myself from Amazon - for less cost. I'm giving it four stars not five because I can't comment on its effectiveness specifically for liver disease. My dog has Valley Fever, not liver disease. Her medication is a harsh fungicide that can be very hard on the liver, so my vet prescribed it to help protect her liver and bring down the liver enzymes that were elevated because of her medication. The values did drop considerably after she was taking this for a while, though. It's easy to give and doesn't have a lot of extra ingredients. It does not contain SAM-e, so if you're looking for a product that does have it, this one isn't for you.

I believe this helped my dog who was having trouble with liver values.
My sweet beagle had been struggling with terrible liver values since March. My doctor recommended a supplement that you CAN buy on Amazon; it came in a blister pack. Anyway we used that two or three courses and his liver values continued to decline. A friend recommended VetClassics Liver Support saying her dog didn't do well on what the vet recommended but did with VetClassics. I read similar reviews. So I'm here to confirm that after not even a full bottle of VetClassics Liver Support, my vet couldn't beLIEVE the liver values, all completely normal. Knocking on wood. He said whatever you are doing keep doing it. So I am online to reorder and thought I'd leave a review. Yes a huge amount of pills were broken in the bottle. The manufacturer could just stuff cotton in to solve that problem, but OMG it WORKS, so I can use some broken pills, probably less noticeable to the little dog.

This product may work great for other dogs
My 14 year old lab has a failing liver. My vet had told me what vitamins to buy in order to help her. This product has all of them in it, but I'm not sure it has levels my dog needs. I'm not seeing the changes my vet said I should see after a few weeks. This product may work great for other dogs. It's just strong enough for the condition my elder dog is at.

My dog had two blood tests in which her liver ...
My dog had two blood tests in which her liver numbers (I can't remember the exact names... liver enzymes and something about bile ducts?) were off, indicating that she had some liver 'concerns'. The vet didn't really want to call it liver 'damage' yet, but he suggested this product, Liver Support, to try to prevent further degradation. The next test she had 60 days later indicated completely normal numbers. I'm definitely going to continue to administer this product. Info: my dog is a 13-year-old, 55-lb. pit-bull-type mixed breed. She has hip dysplasia and arthritis and therefore takes a half-dose of Rimadyl per day for her pain, so liver issues are a concern for me. By the way, some reviewers had problems with broken tablets. For my part, the first bottle I bought from my vet had quite a few broken tablets, maybe 10, but the bottle I got from Amazon didn't have a single broken tablet.

Product works for liver decline in my canine, quick delivery
Not all products work for all dogs. Sometimes it is necessary to switch to maintain proper levels. This product is less expensive than the alternative and has worked for my geriatric fur baby longer than any other.

His liver function is back to normal and he is acting like a young dog again
My 14 year old pound puppy developed liver cancer a few years ago. He had part of his liver removed and has been on these supplements since then. His liver function is back to normal and he is acting like a young dog again. These supplements are a fraction of the cost of the meds the vet was selling and are every bit as effective.

lowered ALT levels for my aging beagle
My 11-yr-old beagle had increasingly elevated levels of liver enzyme ALT. After using the first bottle of these, his levels dropped to almost normal. Vet said keep using them, as they seem to be working.
