A Game-Changer for Hot Spots!
Iโve struggled with hot spots in my house for a long timeโeven with the AC running constantly, some rooms just wouldn't cool down. I have to admit, I was initially skeptical. I wasn't sure if these fans would actually make a difference, how effective they would be at lowering the temperature, or how durable the motors would be over time. I decided to take the plunge and bought three units for my bedrooms and living room, and I am pleasantly surprised! Here is why Iโm happy with my purchase: Effective Cooling: For the first time in a long time, the temperature in all three rooms has dropped noticeably. My house is finally cool enough to survive this heat wave. Quiet Operation: The fans are not loud at all; they sound like a standard household fan. Great Performance: I can finally feel the AC working in every room, which is exactly what I was hoping for. While the units come with a 30-month warranty, Iโm hopeful they will last well beyond that so I won't even need to use it. If youโve been dealing with inconsistent cooling in your home, I highly recommend giving these a try. So far, they have definitely been worth the investment!

Works Like a Charm!
Waited over a week to make sure I liked it! What can I say? For background Iโm in a very hot and humid climate during the summer and my upstairs bedroom is more similar to a jungle than to anything. But I canโt keep pumping my AC down; my basement is already equivalent to a kitchen walk in and my bank account canโt handle much more. So this vent was sort of a Hail Mary. It works exactly as I need it to. Itโs not a miracle worker; but itโs darn good. It has lowered the temp of my room in comparison to the rest of upstairs which is exactly what I needed. Itโs not quite as cool as my lower floors but it is making sleeping a lot easier. Iโm able to use a blanket at night again thanks to this vent. It works very simply; setup took only a few minutes just had to unscrew the old vent and screw this one in, and made sure thereโs a plug close enough. It can do both cooling and heating and I will be sure to try the heating in the winter as I have the same issue of my upstairs not conforming to the temp of the rest of the house. The fan is pretty quiet, I have it on a 7 but it goes up to 10, which I may need as we march towards a hot July. Iโd say on 5 or lower itโs so quiet you barely notice, on 7+ you notice but itโs still about the same noise as a regular fan so no big deal for me. And itโs easy to adjust with the included remote. AND it looks nicer than a normal vent cover. Overall canโt recommend this enough, itโs been a huge help in my ability to sleep soundly and comfortably at night and actually be able to BE in my room on hot days.

Super effective and efficient!
We bought an old house (built in 1900) with central air added by previous owners during renovations. The second floor bedrooms stay warm in the winter, but it was hard to get the AC to sufficiently cool the upper floor bedrooms in the spring and summer. I got this to replace the bedroom floor vent, to push more cool air into the room from the existing central air duct and it works AMAZINGLY. It feels like we have a window unit in the room. The fans blow very effectively and the programming makes sure itโs not always running. You set the temperature threshold based on the air coming from the vent (not the room temp) and when it reaches that temp the fan kicks on. This works for cooling and heating depending on the season. In the summer I set it to 68F and if the air coming from the vent is below 68F the fan kicks on. In the winter I set it to 70F and as long as the heat coming from the duct is warmer than 70F the fan kicks on. Outside of those settings, the system does not kick on. Simple and easy to program, itโs definitely a game changer for us! Worth every penny! I would highly recommend this if you have less than efficient vents in a room.

Register Booster
Works well and does push out more heat and air. Room is cooler and warmer based on what is running. It is pretty quiet, but you can tell it running.

Perfect little device
I love this thing and kinda want to buy one for the other rooms. I got this because I sleep so hot, and wanted to boost the cool air without having to turn down the AC as much, and it really does push out air into a room where the vent isn't doing the work it should! Alternately, my grandma had to move in for a while in the winter and I put it in her room to boost the heat, and it helped her stay warm like crazy! I will say it can be a little noisy when it comes on, but I find the white noise relaxing, so it doesn't bother me. For me, it's sort of a set it and forget it type of thing. 20/10 probably will buy again!

Saved me from a $10,000 A/C system, and a year later I still canโt believe it worked
Short version before the story. Theyโre quiet, they fit a standard vent, they need an outlet nearby, and they flat-out work. They also look nice and theyโve held up through two summers and a winter, we just leave them in year round. Now the story, because I didnโt believe these would do anything. I bought one last July as a total Hail Mary. Our upstairs was miserable every summer and I was already bracing for an HVAC guy to quote me thousands for a multi-zone system or a whole new unit. This little vent fan was the cheap last resort I tried first, just so I could say I tried everything before spending five figures. I fully expected to plug it in, be disappointed, and send it back. But no. It actually worked, so well that I went back and bought three more, and a year later, through two summers and the heatwave Iโm thankfully not sweating through as I type this, theyโre still going strong. I genuinely cannot get over the fact that a problem I thought needed a $10,000+ fix got solved by a vent fan. For context, our second floor always ran 6 to 7 degrees hotter than the rest of the house, sometimes a full 10. Weโve got central air, but the only way to make upstairs livable was to crank it until the downstairs was basically a meat locker, and even then Iโd be cracking windows at night just to sleep, in a house with the AC running. Our unit is 23 years old, itโs a workhorse, but I figured it just couldnโt push air that far. These fixed it. Upstairs now holds within a degree of downstairs instead of being its own swampy little climate. Last summer I just ran the fan manually on 10 and left it there, which was perfect. This summer weโve got a newborn sleeping in our room, so I switched over to the thermostat mode and let it control the fan itself, turning up and down to hold a steady temperature instead of just blasting on high. The thermostat setting doesnโt heat or cool by itself, it adjusts fan speed based on the room temp, and thatโs been ideal for keeping things even and quiet with the baby in here. It comes with a remote, which is nice. Although Iโll be honest, our vents are floor mounted, so my wife and I have both gotten weirdly good at just bumping the speed up or down with a toe as we walk by. The remoteโs there if you need it, but the buttons right on the unit are easy enough that we rarely reach for it. A couple things to know before you buy. They need power, so plan for an outlet or extension cord nearby, though the cord routing is well done and tucks away cleanly. Check your duct opening against the vent size too, one of mine had a slightly bent duct so it didnโt sit flush, which was my houseโs fault, not the fanโs. A few taps with a rubber mallet to open it up and it seated fine. Noise was my biggest worry going in, I really didnโt want a high-pitched electronic whine. On the highest setting itโs sounds like a fan. Itโs a soft, steady whoosh that I find easy to tune out, right around 58-60 dB on my meter. I put up a video where I run it from zero to max with a decibel meter next to it so you can see the reading and hear it for yourself (itโs about on par with a Dyson fan and quieter than the Vornado). Bottom line, itโs quiet enough that itโs never bothered us, even with the baby in the room. Turns out the air just needed help getting through the ducts, and that was the whole problem. Four of these in my house now, plus one I mailed to my mom because I wouldnโt shut up about them. If youโve got a room the air just canโt seem to reach, try this before you let anyone sell you a new system.

Works well, but noise can be an issue
I bought a couple of these and they do a great job of pushing air but one of them makes an obnoxious sound. Unfortunately Iโve missed the return window and I donโt see any way of receiving support. Bummer.

Fantastic for airflow upstairs
My bedrooms upstairs have trouble keeping cool. I got these hoping they would work. They work amazingly well, they are well built and very easy to install. The speeds are 1-10 and 10 is really blowing hard!! I left it at 5 and it had help cool my kids room greatly! Customer service is awesome as well! I highly recommend these because using a window ac or installing a mini split.

Game-Changer for My Sun-Drenched South-Facing Room
I've been using the BIOWIND Quiet Register Booster Fan for just over a month now, and I have to sayโthis little device has made a *huge* difference in my home comfort. My room faces south and gets blasted with sunlight all day, making it one of the warmest rooms in the house, especially during summer. Despite having central AC, the airflow to this room was always weak, and the temperature was noticeably higher than the rest of the house. Enter the BIOWIND booster fan. Installation was super easyโjust plug and play into my 4" x 10" floor register. The compact design fits perfectly and doesnโt stick out awkwardly. What impressed me most is how *quiet* it is. Even at higher speeds, itโs barely noticeable, which is a big plus since I use it in my bedroom. The smart thermostat feature is brilliant. It automatically kicks in when the room starts heating up and helps pull in cool air even after the HVAC shuts off. Iโve noticed a much more consistent temperature throughout the day, and the room no longer feels like a sauna by mid-afternoon. The remote control is a nice touchโsuper convenient to adjust the fan speed without getting up. I usually keep it around level 6 or 7, which gives me a great balance between airflow and noise. Also worth mentioning: itโs energy-efficient. Iโve seen a slight dip in my electricity bill since I started using it, probably because my AC isnโt working as hard to cool the room. Overall, this booster fan has exceeded my expectations. If you have a room thatโs always hotter or colder than the rest of your house, especially one that gets a lot of sun, I highly recommend giving this a try. Itโs affordable, effective, and makes a noticeable difference!

Improves cooling for 2nd floor
I want to improve cooling on the 2nd floor. My house has one central air conditioner with ducts and one controller on the main floor. I installed 3 register fans, one in each bedroom on the 2nd floor of a 2 storey house. Cooling on the 2nd floor has improved. These register fans are quiet on speed settings 1 to 5. Build quality looks good.

Simple, reliable and attractive.
I have grown to love these... if you want a little boost, you can get them down to quite quiet, if you need to pull more air it can do that too, and still quite manageable. I like how it turns on and off when the a/c or heat is on! The casing is attractive, and the display turns off when you're not using it (so no extra light in the room when trying to sleep). Good job folks. Simple, reliable and attractive.

Wonderful purchase!!! Will buy again.
Very pleased with the purchase. The fan is working perfectly. It is being used with a mini split heater located in a hall. The fan transfers heated or cooled air through a wall into a bedroom with the privacy door closed. It is a perfect solution. We have 3 bedrooms so will be buying 2 additional fans.
