Impressive credentials and cleans well
Yes, this is a pricey bottle of dish soap. If you care about the chemicals you use in your home, the environment and your impact on other ecosystems then it this may be worth it to you. This soap has not one but two third-party certifications from Ecocert and the Vegan Society, rigorous background checks which have associated costs to obtain but provide assurance about what's actually in the bottle which justifies a higher price point. Ecocert verifies the ingredient integrity and environmental impact while the Vegan Society verifies no animal-derived ingredients, no animal testing, no GMOs. Onto the soap. This is a huge bottle of dishsoap and you don't need to use much to clean. I normally use a name brand (rhymes with yawn) so that's what I'm comparing it to and it works just as good using less product. The liquid is clear (photo included) and I chose the orange essential oil variety so it has a mild scent of orange which is a nice, clean scent. The liquid is a little thinner than my regular dish soap so I have to be careful when dispensing to not use too much but being thinner would lend a little easier to using decorative or motion activated dishsoap dispensers. As previously stated, it works just as good at cleaning dishes as my regular brand. Next time I have a grease stain on clothing, I'll try it to see if it works as well as the name brand. Bottom line, if you're looking for a safer, environmentally responsible product that works, this it it.

This Detergent Cleans Well
Before I get to far into things, let me just state that there's more to how well a dishwasher works than just the detergent. Two major things that can help a dishwasher clean better are: 1) run the hot water to the kitchen sink (assuming it's on the same plumbing line) before starting the dishwasher to flush the cold water out 2) put some detergent in the pre-wash spot (this is a major downside to detergent pods). With that out of the way, this Clean Green detergent gel seems to clean just as well as other detergents I've been using. I should note that with most dishes get food/sauce remains rinsed completely off before going into the dishwasher, so the dishwasher doesn't have to do as much in my case. The detergent has a noticeable smell to it, and it generally reminds me of smell I'd associate with natural/green cleaning products. Compared to harsher smell for other cleaning chemicals, it's pleasant. In the same way food can have an "aftertaste", I kind-of find this gel to have an "aftersmell". I don't detect it at first, but then it noticeable. It's far from horrid, but I find it to be a little unpleasant. The gel itself is not very viscous (it flows with little to no resistance), and reminds me more of a liquid than other gel detergents I've used. It's mostly transparent, but maybe with a bit of a yellow/tan tint. This does give it more of an organic look than the opaque blues and whites of other gels. Overall, the gel seems to clean as well as other detergents. If you're looking for a natural or organic dishwasher detergent, this is a good option.

Smells great! Dishes are clean!
I usually use the pods so using a gel was a little different. While this does say it's a gel it is rather thin and more of a liquid. It did have a nice citrusy, lemony smell. You are supposed to figure how much to use based on how dirty your dishes are and then measure out the amount in the cap. While that's easy enough to do, it's messy and I'm lazy! So I just squirted some in the main compartment and a little in the pre-wash compartment, shut the door and turned it on! A little while later the cycle was finished. I opened the door and check what I thought would have been the "problem dishes" and they were clean! I'm happy! To be fair I didn't have anything that was super dirty, baked on or stuck on type foods. And this does say to rinse dishes before placing them in the dishwasher. I'd say it works well. The price of $21.90 for 45 washes seems really expensive though. Now if you are into plant based, eco friendly, green living, etc. then this is for you! I probably can't justify spending that much to clean my dishes. If I did I wouldn't be able to by food so I wouldn't need this because I wouldn't have any dirty dishes to wash! I'd say it's a good product, just more than I am willing to pay. If your budget allows this you'll probably like it!
