The alarm turns off 15 seconds after the animal leaves the sensing zone.

Can I use just the flashing light and not the sound?

Yes you can. Also your own sound.

Included instruction sheet under product features say IP 55 Waterproof. IP ratings of between 44 and 65 may be used for both indoor and general outdoor use. Anything lower than IP44 should only be used indoors. however. IP44 outdoor lights can withstand rain and are safe to use outdoors, however should not be exposed to pressurised water such as a jet wash.

You can adjust the volume. On high volume we have the device 5 metres outside the house, angled low to detect cats, which it does very well. No more cat mess in the garden! The range of the device for range of sound is about 30 metres, which as we do not have any nearer neighbours does not disturb them. We can hear it inside the house on all floors. The device can be switched with a remote control from night time only to all day and night. This means we can use the garden during the day without triggering the alarm but at night it will go off to any movement detected.
