Koller Products 5-Gallon Aquarium Kit with LED Lighting and Power Filter, Ideal for a Variety of Tropical Fish

I love this aquarium. It is the perfect size for my small desk and perfect for college students who want a little pet fish to keep them company. It only takes up a little space, but it is very spacious for the fish to swim around. I also really enjoy that the filter that is included only takes up a little space in the tank. The light that comes attached to the lid has so many different colors and light settings. The aquarium was very easy to set up and do water changes. This fish tank was effortless to set up in as little as a couple of minutes. This tank is excellent for its price as well as for its size, and it is a great value for your money. My betta fish, Bubbles, really enjoys his new home and is thriving with all the swimming room he has. You do have to be careful when cleaning the walls as it is acrylic and can scratch easily. The shipping was relatively fast, and the aquarium came in perfect condition. At first, I was a bit skeptical with some reviews saying that the light didn't work and the filter stopped working as well after a couple of months, but I was pleased that my light and filter are still working perfectly after four months, and it is going on strong. Although the filter didn't work right away, it did take a couple of minutes to see the water flow out of the filter. Overall, it is a really great purchase, and if I get another fish, I will buy another as the aquarium quality is excellent for how much I am paying. This product is a 10/10, and I recommend it to others looking for an aquarium around this price range.

This is such a nice set up for a really good price. It was easy to set up. The pump is very quiet, I can't even hear it. If you raise it above the water level the water sounds can be loud but I keep it low.. The LED lights in mine are in a few colors like multiple changing, blue, red, yellow, green and clear. I prefer clear, though. It has plenty of room to add things like artificial plants and a feature like the Betta Castle. Mine has been set up for about a week. I used water conditioners and fin conditions and let it settle over night before adding the Betta. He is very comfortable. I just introduced three little Mystery Snails, one purple, one yellow and one jade, to keep him company and give him something to watch. All in all, it's a great little tank. I ordered the gravel from Amazon for a great price, too. Update: I've had mine for about 7 weeks, now. It's still very quiet, all of the lights work, my Betta is still very content. This was a good purchase.

It’s really nice it’s super light weight my fish had no problem with it no break or leaks my only issue was because it’s plastic it was harder to get algae off the sides compared to glass tanks but if you do good up keep it’s perfect

Well, despite the reviews of people having problems with the LED lighting I purchased it and looked over the lighting system very carefully before I set up the tank. It looks like they have changed the LED set up from earlier versions of this tank. The power/program selection button has been relocated to the opposite (right) side of the tank and several 'new' lighting modes and timer modes have been added to the LED unit. There is an addendum sheet in the box that has the directions for the 'new' LED functions. Water proofing for the LED array inside the tank looks improved as well. So far, over several weeks of operation, the LED array is still dry even though the protective cover over them will build up condensation. I added a 25 watt submersible heater to the tank along with the other items needed for setting up a new tank. The heater power cord went through the same as the spot as the filter cord and both fit without jacking up the lid. The filter is small and quiet and super easy to disassemble and clean but a word of caution. I put 12 neon tetras in the tank with a beta and after 12 hours 6 of the tetras had vanished. I found them trapped and dead in the filter after having been sucked in through the slots. The slots are no bigger than those on other filters so I think that the tetras smaller size is what allowed this. I fashioned fish guard from a piece of fiberglass screen material from a local hardware store and affixed it to the filter with a couple of zip ties. Replaced the 'missing' tetras and 2 weeks after all 12 were still there. Some people have mentioned that this tank scratches easily, well it will if not cleaned properly any poly-carbonate or acrylic tank will scratch easily compared to a glass tank. Use clean microfiber cloths and cleaner for plastic glasses lenses and you'll be fine. Be careful with tank gravel cleaning, don't slide it along the tank walls!

I LOVE this awesome tank!!!! I am VERY happy I bought this!! I got mine used, and it came with minor cracks and scratches, but other than that, this tank is perfect! If you are going to get this tank, get it new! Mine did NOT come with a filter, but Amazon ( I ordered from amazon warehouse) cleared this up, and I now have a tank with a filter again! ( I have to thank Amazon for the amazing customer service job they did! 5 star! :) ) The tank is nice and roomy, but not Unmovable like a 10g! It is lightweight. moveable, and quite large! I like that it is the perfect size, where you DON'T have to have a betta, but small enough you don't really need a gravel vacuum! I am going to put four Black Skirt Tetras ( GLOFISH) in it, and that will fill it up nicely! The hood of the tank is mega-awesome!! The lights are really cool, and are nice and bright! (Not too bright though!) This comes with disco settings, but I am not going to use those as they would terrify my fishy friends!!!!! The blue setting is awesome for my GloFish theme I've put to it! This is a very nice universal tank! What I like is you can make it for GloFish or for normal fishies!! You can't put much in a tank this small ( If you want more get a 10g), but I didn't want more than four fishies, and for that.... this is a perfect, five star, highly recommended tank! <3 ( The filter is awesome too!!) I will edit it later on how it is doing along with pictures!!! :)

The filter pump quit working after three weeks. Can’t return just the pump. What am I supposed to do with the fish waiting for the return of the whole package?

I would like to start out by saying I absolutely love this tank so far, and so do my fish. But it didn’t come without its problems so I can’t give it a five star like I would want. The main issues are that with mine the button sinks in when you press it for the light so I can’t use the timer function because I can barely reach it, it’s as if the panel is not set it place and there’s no way to open up the light in order to fix it. Besides that it, did come with some scratches on the back of the tank, but they’re barely noticeable once you put the water in. I’m just worried about eventual leaking honestly. My biggest issue with this tank is that it comes with two cut outs that are optional to remove, but if you do want to remove them it’s nearly impossible, took me like 30 minutes, broke a pair of my scissors so I had to use a knife instead, and they’re so hard to remove that I almost cut myself multiple times. I just wish since they’re meant to be removed they would be more simple to actually pull off the lid. Other than these few issues, I really do like the tank, it’s a great size for my couple of fish and a great upgrade from the 3gal I had prior. If you are thinking about getting a start up tank kit I highly recommend this, especially because it comes with a filter, could it be a better quality filter? Yes, but it’s a good start. I do plan on replacing it in the near future but it’ll do for now.

This is a great upgrade from the 2gal tank. My grandbaby's fish have moved from the hood to the penthouse. I like the different color lights. My g'baby will love it. The size is good for two goldfish and a couple of snails. You have to watch the size and amount of decor that you add. Setting it up wasn't too difficult. I wish the instructions included the size of the filter replacement.

The 5 gallon size is Mia leading. Accommodates not more than 2 Please make sure to convert to ac voltage before u plug in Size is about 1 ft x .75 ff x .75 ft total Waste of money
