Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMix Limited Edition (PS3)

Well where do we start !? The game(s), first and foremost, look absolutely beautiful. It has been touched up, rendered, sharpened and looks as crisp as you would expect from a Square Enix game. The gameplay, although significantly untouched, is still as fun as it ever was. You will enjoy levelling up Sora and his friends and attempting to defeat those heartless in a variety of different ways. Those who want to challenge themselves will beef them-self up for the new secret boss fights. The biggest and best suprise of them all is Birth By Sleep. Porting from PSP to PS3 was never going be easy and some (including myself ) had reservations on how Square could make it happen. BUT THEY DID. And IT. IS. MAGNIFICENT. The end product looks so seamless you'll forget it was even on the PSP. The game just echoes nostalgia and for the price of £24 ( The intelligent people pre-ordered), you simply can not go wrong with a game that can give almost 60+ hours of gameplay and a cinematic thrown in as well. I'm sure I sound like secret Square executive with this review, but you have to hand it them. They've done well with 1.5 and 2.5. There's no doubt that this franchise is still as strong as it ever was. But if Square is reading this, please hurry up on KH3. We're all waiting for the end of the Saga. The only moot-point was the delivery. It came a day late ( first-world problems). I would give it 4* but this was hardly Amazon's fault. So it must be a 5. Enjoy.

This based off the game but I would like to say k am very annoyed about amazon not giving it to me on release day. The Game is fantasic, unlike kingdom hearts 1.5 where the only really good game was kingdom heart, this time you get kh2 and bbs arguably the two best games in the series. I will break down the positives: The graphics look really good and it was clear there was a lot of love put into them. The musical arrangement is great with a lot of tracks re composed and in some cases sounding better than the original. The mirage arena in bbs is no longer multi player but single player, I found this weird as ps3 lends itself to multilayer more that the psp but it is a much needed change, though the boss difficulty has no dropped in the arena. re:coded is a cinematic which is great, I enjoyed the game but it lends itself well to the cinematic plus there are new never before seen cut scenes which are a nice touch. finally there are a lot of extras kicking about like new key blades. you can tell 2.5 got more love but that in no way be littles this game. Obviously you should play 1.5 before 2.5. This is a great way to catch up with the series though play dream drop distance after so you are ready for kh3.

Relive the classics of Kingdom Hearts! This is the second installment of the Kingdom Hearts HD Remix's and it does not disappoint! in a previous review i mentioned what an absolute gem Birth By Sleep for the PSP was and this remix is fantastic! not only does it include the final mix version but it also allows one to use it on the ps3 which is a must for the intense game on offer! moving on to Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix you get to relinquish the role of Roxas from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and then move on to Sora swiftly after. The updated graphics really do polish this diamond game. the mechanics are perfect for the controller and the visuals are amazing in HD. As always the story is compelling and inquisitive. one again Square-Enix have included the Final Mix version which really does expand on the game, adding at least 10+ hours of gameplay which most people would pay a premium for in DLC these days. Finally the last segment is Kingdom Hearts RE: Coded which is a movie adapted from the original mobile game/ remixed DS game. Although it is graphically a poor game it does allow newcomers to understand the events of previous games as well as revisiting it for veteran players of Kingdom Hearts. Although it is a sad Movie as it shows Sora much pain it does sow up the plot perfectly for the latest Installment on the 3DS: Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance. Overall this is a well polished HD remix that for UK/PAL users will breathe new life into the old installments. quite frankly this is also a very good send off for kingdom hearts before the last installment in this ongoing saga. If your willing to give Kingdom Hearts a go i thoroughly recommend it. if your not willing to at least play Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD remix then you will need to watch the Online movie versions of them on media sites in order to guage what has occured in the events of Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days.

Kingdom Hearts 2 is one of my favourite games ever so 5 stars for the game collection however 3 stars for the limited edition. With the 1.5 HD limited edition you got the art book which was awesome. But to get the 2.5 art book you have to buy the collectors edition ! Which I would if it was not sold out everywhere!! Unless you wanna pay £160 from a marketplace seller on amazon or about £150 - £200 on ebay it is impossible to get now already!

Best KH game imo. PS3 update very welcome. Everything looks neat. Gonna keep you busy for hours. But play KH 1.5 first!

Personally I could play KH2 over and over but it was nice to have a little extra to do, and was surprised how big the PSP game was! took almost as long as the full game. impressed. :)
