Love them
This shoe is exactly what I had hoped they would be. They are light and cool. I get the coolness of a sandal, with the support and comfort of a tennis shoe. The speed laces pull up even as I tighten the shoe to tie it with a really good and comfortable fit. As with my headline I love this shoe.

Solid shoe so far, seems to be for "low speed" use, runs bit narrow
This shoe runs a bit narrow. I typically wear 14 in athletic shoes and 13 in dress shoes. In a 14 the shoe feels a bit narrow but has plenty of room in the toes/length. It is comfortable for walking however 5 days straight of 5+ miles of walking I did get some blisters. I'll see if they just require a break in period however if it continues I'll lower the score. However I have a feeling this will be good casual walking/hiking shoe and not so good at speed.Keep in mind these are "3 season shoes", at least here in the northeast. They are very well ventilated and I can't imagine wearing them in temps at or below freezing if I wasn't in constant motion. If you are looking to run in these shoes they just don't seem to have the support for that. I don't mean the sole, it provides support, but lateral support. At running speeds the top lacks the support to keep your foot in place.

Like style and comfortable too!
In this day and age it is hard to find a nice, understated athletic shoe. This one fits the bill. The shoe is comfortable and provides good traction walking on trails as well. Recommend this brand if you prefer not to look like a juvenile NBA wannabe.

Even with blisters on my heels they were comfortable and I used them everywhere since
My savior! These shoes were a last minute purchase for Borneo jungle trekking. I had originally bought a pair of jungle boots to do the majority of hikes/walks. Unfortunately the jungle boots destroyed my feet on the first hike ( all be it pinnacles in Sarawak). With no hope of using them again I started using the columbia's. Even with blisters on my heels they were comfortable and I used them everywhere since. Even made the climb up mount Kinabalu. Wide lugs and well ventilated they dried quickly and I am extremely happy to own a pair

Nice shoe, not what I wanted
I returned these, not for any reason other than they weren't what I thought they would be. These are a very light weight, breathable show, with great support and excellent fit. They could use one more eyelet at the top of the laces to snug up the heel, but I have skinny heels. I have similar Columbia I thought this would be more of a rough and tumble shoe and I wanted something for Southern California winter time. If I was looking for a shoe in Spring these would have fit the bill. I liked them, I just didn't need them. Considered keeping them for next summer, but decided to find something else. If you're looking for a light weight shoe for knocking around this is a good shoe and has good looks.

Great summer trail shoes
Ordered these shoes by mistake -- it turned out to be a great mistake! I thought I was ordering the Columbia North Plains Trail Shoe, a shoe I've had really good luck with. This shoe is a much lighter, better ventilated version of that shoe. The sole is just as grippy, the toe box is nice and roomy. The tops have a lot less structure than the North Plains Trail Shoe due to the ventilation; I like how light weight and airy they are.

Not what I was hoping for!
Good look, nicely priced but NOT of quality construction. I wore them for 1 day at work and the stitching on the front outside of the left shoe was coming unstitched. I can't imagine how Columbia can even classify these as hiking shoes. I'm sure the stitching wouldn't hold up through even a mile hike on less-than-rough terrain. And when they say "ventilated" they aren't exaggerating. Ventilated to the point where you can see through the shoe. Almost ventilated to the point of being a water shoe. That being said, if you live in a cooler area or plan on wearing these during the winter, you will highly regret your purchase. The wind blows through like you're wearing only socks. I had problems in 40 degree weather with occasional 10 MPH winds. I was even wearing thick wool hiking socks. The only reason I'm giving these shoes 2 stars is because they fit as expected, look nice, and the grip is pretty effective. Oh, and for those of you that say that these laces come untied too easily, you need to learn how to tie shoes. Mine stayed tied with a standard tie all day long. No double knot needed.Summary : decent shoe for summertime golfing/disc golfing.

kind of like them, but they feel loose even for being ...
kind of like them, but they feel loose even for being a size 8 which is my size. The "meshy" build makes you consider the color of the socks you will wear which can be a hassle.
