I have Nokia batteries for my Retekess radio and I use it a lot when doing chores to listen to old time radio programs. So I have a few Nokia batteries to ensure that I have a charged one available at all times. This device works well to charge them. I, at first, thought it was not working well as it said the battery was fully charged and the Radio said 60%. It turns out it is the battery and not the charger as other batteries charge fully to 100%. This has adjustable pins for different batteries, so you need to set the pins up for the battery you are charging the first time. Not that big a deal.

Works well, but the charging process is very slow. On the other hand, you don't have to worry about the polarity of the battery connection, as the charger determines the polarity automatically. Good charger, but I would like it to work faster.

Tras dos cargas de baterías, dejó de cargar. Al ponerle un tester se observan 2.4 V de salida en lugar de los 4.2 V que deb dar. Al preguntar a Chat GPT por el motivo responde que es muy frecuente que el CHIP interno se haya dañado. que Puede ser el diodo de salida pero normalmente es el chip. Entonces sinceramente me da mucha lástima pero la calificación es de 1 estrella porque no ha durado ni un mes trabajando. La respuesta de CHAT GPT: Si tu cargador daba 4.2 V y ahora sólo 2.4 V, lo más probable no es la batería sino un fallo en el circuito del cargador: el propio chip de carga puede estar dañado, o bien un diodo/elemento en serie (o fusible) está abierto/semicado y deja caer tensión. Pero si quieres comprar un reemplazo estándar para la mayoría de cargadores pequeños BL-5C, el TP4056 es el candidato más habitual. Tristemente este artículo no tiene la calidad mínima.

Lining up the pins can be confusing. The pins easily move out of place. The spring loaded arms still allow the battery to move. Im concerned it will not stay connected to the charging pins.

I just grabbed this bargain BL-5C battery charger because I needed to charge some of these batteries that power some radios I have. I did a double-take when it arrived because it's adjustable to fit other kinds of batteries. BL-5C batteries have three terminals, one marked plus and one minus (who knows what the other one is). I aligned the pins on the Kastar charger and it lit up, showing that my spare battery was about half charged. Maybe aligning the pins was a tiny bit tedious, but no big deal. When plugged in the charger went to work. As an added bonus there is a USB-A output on it that could power something else. I also have a radio that uses a BL-5B battery, and this charger works with that too. This is a remarkably flexible battery charger, for next to no money.
