It's almost an exact match to the remote that came with my air conditioner but it did not include the heat button. That's fine because I will rarely use the heat function, but I got the AC that had that just in case. I would say it is safe to assume that you can use any replacement remote that looks like the one you have. I didn't even check compatibility before getting this because I was sure it would work. The remote has the same quality and functionality of the original remote, excluding the heat button. I did not have to sync and or anything this remote to my AC, it just works.

Replacement remote for portable AC
All I had to do was pop in 2AAA batteries and then hit power button. Started right up!

It's almost an exact match to the remote that came with my air conditioner but it did not include the heat button. Works great with my portable AC!
I purchased a portable AC from Amazon about 2 years ago. It came with a remote control, and I've wanted to get a second one for a while with no luck. I came across this remote by accident and noticed it looks very similar to the remote I have. The size, appearance and layout of the remote is almost identical, with only the sleep button in a different location, in the middle column under the temperature settings instead of the left column under low fan setting. The description says it is an IR remote, no programming needed. I figure IR signals should be pretty similar in low-cost portable ACs, so I decided to give it a try. It arrived next day on Prime one-day. It did not come with batteries, as noted in the description. It needs 2 AAA batteries. Once installed, it was able to turn on the portable AC and set the temperature. Very happy and satisfied with the remote. It would be nice if it included batteries, but not a deal breaker.
