The install was fairly straightforward but after a few months the paddles became super inconsistent with registering inputs to the point they are unusable sadly waste of money New update the company reached out and offered to send me replacements which I then later found out about an import step when doing the installation and now the paddles work perfectly find and are fully responsive I love them and are very sleek

The video instructions were super clear and easy to follow. I was already replacing my joysticks with hall effect sticks, so figured I'd go ahead and install the paddles too. You do have to solder, but it is a super easy solder job. I only cared about mapping R3 and L3, so it was just 2 solder points. I skipped the trackpad solder as I didn't have a need to remap it. The red I picked looks really nice with the black controller. Definitely worth the investment as I always hated having to press down on the sticks.

The watermark texture isn't as grippy and the others. But still gets the job done. No issues no complaints. Idk why they couldn't put 4 buttons at the back like the plastic but honestly I only use 2. So if you actually all 4 paddles at the back get don't get the metal paddles.

I followed the video step by step by this step i noticed the strip was not sticking and touched the sticker and felt like it was already used and dont remember ever removing the white paper from the sticker.

Was unaware of this until I actually started putting together. Said nothing about this until installation video. I’m pissed.

I love my back buttons as well as the texture on the back of the controller. It’s not as grippy as I would like it though and can get slippery after a couples hours play if you’re a sweat. Buttons work perfectly fine, I would suggest you watch the tutorial on YouTube and pause every section. Pay close attention and it’s an easy install as long as you keep up with the steps and keep your parts in place for reassembly. I did not need to have a soldering tool because I have no reason to map the L3R3 buttons.

Make sure you’re getting the right kit. It shows in the pictures of what type of motherboard you have so there shouldn’t be a reason you buy the wrong kit. I recommend watching the YouTube video all the way through before trying to do the install right away. I have a few of the older kits and I made the mistake taking out both of the wires when you don’t need to do that anymore with this one. 10/10 cheaper then the Sony pro controller.
