I bought this to use on our balcony with our weather station. I bought a 3/4" diameter schedule 40 PVC pipe from the hardware store and it holds it securely. The tilting is quiet nice with it too. This makes it useful if you are mounting it at an angle, or if you need to mount a flag or otherwise at an angle. You can feel the quality of the build of the clamp. The weight alone is a sure sign of the quality of metals used. It was a good investment and I know I can trust it to weather through the seasons.

Needed this to attach a light to my standing craft desk. It works great and is very sturdy.

Great product heavy duty

I bought this as it has many reviews claiming it’s sturdy and well built. However when I opened it I found that the locking screws weren’t centered, there were multiple spots where the coating had been chipped and colored in with a sharpie, and the clamping rod bar was seized.

With some wind the swivel head at the top of the threaded bolt sheared off on two of these clamps. After submitting the initial/above 2-star review I was contacted by the seller and provided a full refund. That's great customer service deserving a 4-star rating. I'll probably end up buying two more and be more attentive to the weather.

This concept is so smart but in practicality, it falls short. You've got kind of limited options for side to side positioning, which is how I had mine set up. I have a black metal fence around my deck with the posts about 4 inches apart. This piece doesn't fit between, so I did the best I could and my umbrella flew off once, then again, then broke. I'm going to try another position with another umbrella and see if I have better luck. Sadly, my umbrella didn't survive and this purchase was my attempt to finally figure out a solution for stabilizing it. One other note, there is no support at the bottom, so I had to zip tie the pole to the fence and it still didn't hold.

I purchased this AMMSUN Patio umbrella clamp for my large umbrella on a pole ( its old, but I love it) I wanted a sturdy adjustable clamp that I could attach to the side of our fishing boat to block some of the strong hot summer sun. It works great. love how adjustable the head/ tube part is that holds the umbrella pole. got job to the creator of this adjustable clamp.
