However, after a year of sitting in my Amazon basket I finally decided to give the Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan Mousse a go.I didn't have a tanning mit so used my hand, don't make that mistake. Get some latex gloves or buy a tanning applicator mit.I put the mouse on, being an expert in avoiding streaks I made sure it was all rubbed in and covered every part of my body. I left it on for an hour and a half as I didn't want to go to dark being so pale.Stepped into the shower and it all washed off leaving me back to my shade of pale, which had me somewhat worried I'd wasted money on a product that was useless.Anyway, after a nights sleep I woke up this morning with a natural looking tan, just right for my skin tone, nothing too obvious but enough for me to feel like the product has worked it's magic.So, if you are thinking of trying this product, do, but get a mitt too or buy some latex gloves. I am very very pale and have tried many tanning products, only to look orange or streaky. This is perfect for me. It has a colour key so you can see where you are applying and then it is really up to you to wash off when ever you want! Some people prefer a darker tan so leave it on for a few hours, I tend to stick to 1 hour - 1 hour and a half just because I'm so pale and don't want a dramatic change. It last long, I went on a spa day so was subject to lots of chlorine and it still didn't fade much! It also has a nice, subtle smell. It does dry quickly, but I still find that even if you suddenly realise you have missed a section or not blended it very well, it is easy to go over and blend out. Will definitely keep purchasing this. My next application I left it on for 2hrs, again I had a slight off white tinge but again not a tan. So last night I thought I'd do four hours and again am sorely disappointed. I have a bit of a colour I guess, but not a tan and even though I exfoilated before each application it has come up patchy on wrists, knuckles. This is good..","reviewBody":"This is a lightweight mousse.. It looks like aftershave mousse and feels smooth going on. It doesn't really smell of anything in particular and you can't smell the DHA on application. Although you can smell it slightly the next day (I left it on all night). It dries nice and quickly, doesn't feel sticky on and you can get dressed pretty much right away.I keep all self tanners on all night so I get the darkest possible outcome - this isn't that dark at all.. If your looking for a super dark colour, this is not the one. Once the colour guide is washed away the next morning - it leaves a very subtle colour.. The colour itself was quite nice, just not dark enough (for me)...Positives: Good for sensitive skin.. Easy to apply.. Light guide colour.. Smells and feels abit like aftershave foam (No DHA smell).. Dries quickly.. Developes into a subtle quite natural colour.. Good coverage and even - fades evenly..Negatives: Can still tranfer onto clothes.. Once guide colour is washed off - alot of the colour goes with it..?Overall: This has more positives then negatives, but the colour just isn't dark enough for me - so doesn't really live up to the 1, 2, 3hr hype that it claims.. I've tried and tested so many and would rate this a 'good' tan - I've tried worse, but also tried better.. It is fairly priced and I will try the dark one next in hope that it will produce a much darker shade.. If the 1hr dark one turns out darker - it will officially be my favourite 'mousse'..**Tip: Always apply a little moisturier to your knees, elbows, hands and feet first.. It quickly goes into the skin and dries very fast (less than 5 min)s. After an hour, wash off the guide colour and youre good to go. I've had soooo many issues with self tan products but now i've found one that IS foolproof and amazing value for money (i've spent over £50 on Self tan products in the past and just been really disappointed with streakiness etc.)You will look a bit orange when the guide colour is on, but dont be put off as it makes sure you get a perfectly even coat easily, and once washed off your skin is a lovely light to medium natural tan colour.
