My cat (Reggie), who will only eat boneless, skinless cutup chicken breasts, requires this on his food to ensure he is getting a vital amino acid that his body does not make per his vet. While other cat food sources have this amino acid added and most natural foods that include organ meat will contains this very important substance. NOTE: Without sufficient amounts of this amino acid (chicken white meat contains very little of it), a cat's body will cannibalize it from a cats nervous system and optic nerves of the eyes leading to neurological disorders and blindness. Reggie has been on this product for nine years and is healthy, fit and continues to have excellent eye sight.

This supplement has really helped my cat. His vision loss seemed to stop within 24 hours of using this. He gets it twice daily. He obviously had a deficiency.

I love this product. I feed feral cats and make cat food. Cats need taurine for good health. This product is excellent for car food recipes which calls for taurine.

I was disheartened when Chewy stopped providing this product, as I give it to my cat as a supplement. It was a relief to find it here on Amazon. It is the same brand that my vet prescribed.

So far, so good. Hes tolerating it well.

My kitten wouldn't eat any food other than "baby food" from the jar. I tried so many foods, tricks, etc. NOPE. His veterinarian said his blood work came back saying he was dangerously low in taurine (and calcium)... I've tried other products, but he'd just shoo it away and not eat at all if he detected anything in his food. Ugh. But this product was the first to get him to either NOT NOTICE it in his food or get him to LIKE the flavor!! YAY!! He's eating every bite - and he's not having the tremors he was having before or any other illnesses. I'm so happy to have found something he'll accept. Now, if I could just get the goober to eat real cat food and stop eating baby food. ;)

We have an older cat that is not eating much cat food, so we needed to make sure he is getting this vitamin. It does not smell or taste, which is just what we need for this picky baby. We tried other items, but he could smell or taste and would not eat. This container has a lot and that is a plus!
