I wanted a lectin free alternative to rice. Millet porridge is a great, tasty, lectin-free alternative, which is quick and easy to make. I make several portions at a time, and store it in a bowl in the fridge

Incredibly bitter though product in date

I like the Millet flakes because I make my own Granola and as an ingredient it works great for me creating a nutty flavour, I don't know another way of using it that would work as well. I melt butter and honey in a large pan and add nuts, millet flakes and porrage oats as well as a little sugar to help it all set, then spread it out on a couple of baking trays and bake slowly until golden brown and it makes a great granola, at least that way I know what is going into my breakfast; cinnamon or mixed spice is also a good idea.

A huge bag of soft, fluffy millet flakes to make my homemade granola. They taste delicious and are as good quality as my local health store but far better value for money. Try these in place of porridge oats in your flapjacks or museli. Very nutritious and not just for budgies.

I make a porridge by mixing in almond flakes, sultanas and ground linseed with a dash of honey and enjoy the results.
