Exactly what I was looking for
I absolutely love this grinder. I was looking for a single dose, flat burr grinder that could do both pour over and espresso. This was a little more than I wanted to spend but I regret nothing. The grounds cup is awesome, the whole grinder is solidly built and feels like it will last a long time, Adjusting the grind settings is a breeze, the look and function is great, retention is as close to zero as you can hope, the detachable grounds chute is simply inspired and makes cleaning such a breeze. Small issue with static, but the included RDT bottle solves that. I almost bought a Niche Zero but I really didn't care for the design of that and wanted a flat burr grinder, plus shipping those to the U.S. is a nightmare and adds to the cost significantly. The ability to adjust the RPM of the motor is a welcomed plus that I wasn't actually looking for.Oh, and I have had no stalling issues, even with very light roasted coffee on the lowest setting. If I pour the beans in and then turn the grinder on it does seem to hesitate for a fraction of a second, but it quickly senses the resistance, adjusts the voltage (I presume), and grinds through the beans perfectly. Seems they solved this issue after the first batch with a new board, and I can say confidently that it has been resolved.Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this grinder in a heartbeat. The only thing is the price. If you only need a grinder for pour over I would point towards cheaper options like the Ode and a few others, but for a single grinder that can do both, this is just fantastic.

Very versatile and great results in cup
I struggled with previous grinder being able to go fine enough (or just consistent enough) to avoid channeling and/or gushing shots. This grinder I can choke the machine at 20 setting so plenty of room to grind as fine as I need. So far I really love it - it does what it says but static is still a problem if you doing use water sprayer - that is my only complaint but it’s pretty much true of every grinder that doesn’t have some type of plasma/ion generator. If you use bellow and flip the removable (and awesome) chute I get zero retention. I’ve not had any stalls and tried a medium roast cold start at 600 for pour over. The item I received has the updated control board (per description) and it “ramps up” to RPM. It’s smaller than I imagined and couldn’t be happier with it. If they came out with ionizer feature that would make it perfect for me.

Noisy Motor and Frequent Bean Jams
I bought the DF64V hoping for a reliable grinder, but I’m very disappointed. From the start, there’s been a noticeable electrical buzzing noise from the motor. On top of that, the bean jamming issue has gotten worse over time – even after increasing the RPM, it often stalls completely. It used to jam occasionally, but now it happens so frequently that grinding a single dose has become frustrating. For the price, I expected far better performance and consistency. Definitely not worth it.

How to use it
I had mine set to return for some of the same reasons I've read in other reviews. But before I did, I contacted the seller and watched a video on replacing the 'chute' provided by the seller. Installing it was only mildly tricky, but most of that was because the new part was so tight I needed to use a little 200 grit to remove a little material from the edges of the new part.I also learned (from the seller) I had the grinding speed set to low! Since replacing the chute and setting the speed to 1400,(as the seller recommended), it's worked just fine. Yes, grinding coffee does produce some static but now that is much less too. It's still a little 'messy', but that too has been minimized to the most extent. I think it's now a really good little grinder. I've used it for French Press (setting of 75-80 or so), Aeropress (around 45) and my espresso setting is around 22. I get a really even grind throughout it's range. Again, I was going to return it, but now it's working so well, I'm keeping it. I purchased one of these: Canning Funnel for Kitchen Use, Wide Mouth Funnel for Mason Jars, Large Canning Funnels for Filling Bottles, Stainless Steel Food Funnel which has helped getting ground coffee from the V64's cup into the portafilter, or AeroPress. I also find the 64 flat burrs to be much better than my old Breville smart pro grinder's conical burrs. So, before sending it back contact the seller, get and install the upgraded chute, and start grinding @ 1400, and you might decide to keep it. (I have seen 'reviews' before I bought it saying to use a grinding speed of 1000 - 1100). I also turn the V64 on and slowly add the beans. I'm sure that helps prevent clogging. That's what I was doing when I was having clogging trouble. Also, I was probably spritzing too much water on the beans prior to roasting. Spritzing isn't necessary. I've cut out spiritizing altogether and any of the ground coffee that sticks to the chute or dosing cup can easily be knocked off into that nifty little stainless-steel funnel.

Stalling at low rpm
Grinder stalls at 600rpm with medium roast requiring you tediously feed beans slowly rather than dumping it

Incredible Grinder DOES NOT STALL
I’m pairing it with a La Marzocco Linea Mini, and all I can say is amazing. I have had several Grinders over the years, all of them twice the price of this one. The quality of the grind and the taste in the cup is phenomenal. I upgraded to the espresso SSP burrs so a couple hundred dollars, but well worth it. Don’t even think twice there is absolutely no stalling you’re supposed to turn this device on before pouring the beans in opposite of a Niche it's that simple the motor is strong maintains the RPMs and I am not sure what others are experienced however I do know that I have a newer model with an upgraded board. Lastly the seller is great to work with, I had a minor issue and they were responsive. Another positive.

Extremely quiet and versatile coffee grinder
We brew both french press and espresso, and I find the variable speed and infinitely variable grind capability of this grinder to be excellent. I've gotten a very consistent particulate size! I do see a bit of static especially when grinding fine for espresso. Using a spray does help, but I'm hoping they come out with an ionizer for this grinder at some point. The magnetic shoot is easy to remove and clean and the bellows really does a descent job of expelling trapped grounds. Overall, I am impressed with this unit!

It's a decent grinder with fairly major flaws
I was a little hesitant to purchase this based on the stalling problems. They said, with the newer board it stalls less And they were right at least initially. However, after using it for about six months I seem to be getting more stalling even with hot starts. I wrote the company about this, but they didn't bother to write me back. I usually use grind speeds around 1200. Good luck going lower than that with espresso grinds. Overall, I definitely have buyers remorse.

Great support from supplier.
Supplier advised alternative replacement CF64V and ask confirmation of power supply that was correct for me. I felt supported by the supplier. The grinder arrived on time and in perfect condition. CF64V well made and easy to use for either espresso or filter coffee.

Premium SD grinder at a mid range price
Forget the few bad reviews about stalling grinders... yes it will likely stall at 600-700 rpm with light dense beans but it won't at 900+ which is a much more usable range. Also don't mind the people cold starting their grinders, it's just bad practice. Hot starting put way less stress on any motor. The reviews are pretty much unanimous: this is a premium grinder at a very affordable price. Super compact, precisely buil, well designed, mess free, quiet and with a very good DLC burr set.Of the lowest retention of any SD grinder out there. RDT is required though. And that magnetic chute is... sooo great! No mods needed. Forget the silly comments like "I want a PF fork" or "It won't grind espresso at 600rpm". Even with a fixed RPM this grinder would be one of the best on the market.
